Knowing the information and knowing how to quickly find the information are two different things. Electricians do not have to know everything, but you must know how to find the answer. Good video.

@@ElectricalCodeCoach Hi, sorry but I need guidance from someone. I'm using Canadian Electrical Code Book-Part-1 of 2021, 25th edition but I could not find any of these 3 methods. Is the code book you describes is different?
@TODD-KOBELL Жыл бұрын
I was taught the plan build used theory. Where the code book is broke up into three sections the planning section the building session and the using section The planning section is 0 all the way up to 300. Building is 300. And the using section is 400 and above. And in class with our practice questions I got down to an average of a minute and 46 seconds on the multiple choice questions.

Great, amazing video, any chance you could do another video on a few different varieties of questions instead of just looking for a table? Tell us when to pause so we can look for ourselves and then when we find it or can’t find it we resume the video and you break it down for everyone? This is great help, I’ve been studying now since late April (over 3 months) 5-7 days a week over 2 hours a day and very efficient with finding most questions but sometimes struggling with the math, does anyone by any chance know how many math questions there even are on the test? I believe it is a smaller portion of the test . Thanks Again!

I m a 4th year apprentices and going to school at the moment. Our instructor does not allow us to mark or tab our NEC. I feel that class is not to efficient although our instructor is an inspector for the city and is extremely knowledgeable. We meat twice a week for 3.5 hours. We take a 10 question quiz every time we go to class. But spend the rest of the time going over PowerPoints of articles, makes me feel like I'm waisting time. I work 10 hours a day and would like to know how many hours per day should I study for the Exam? I'll be able to apply for the test around April 2023 in CA. Like your videos and truly helps with Test Anxiety. I share your videos with all my classmate's.

@@ElectricalCodeCoach Thanks man, these can definitely help me out. But I'm in a bit of a pickle here when it comes to applying for a Journeyman certification exam. I've gotten into electrical from my uncles and pop and worked with them since I was 16. It's been 6 years since I started this trade as a "trainee" or an "Apprentice". All the jobs I've worked with them before was always paid under the counter rather than the checks they give their other employees. So technically I have no SSA report that proves I've worked the amount of hours necessary to start on my Journeymans exam. I'm no rough in monster or NEC code book nerd but I know enough where I can get to work without having to ask anyone for directions or assistance. So basically my question is, is there a way I can get my journeyman card without going through the hassle of building up my SSA report detailing all the hours I've done? I really don't wanna start from scratch so I'm hoping there's another way I can get through this.

I’m trying to find an answer in the code book. To wire an apartment building in NM, what’s the threshold of the amount of floors that the building has, to be wired with NM and at what point would it have to be in MC cable? I think the answer is NM can be used to wire a building 10 floors or less, if it’s taller it needs to be MC

Is not how fast you know the code is how you understand the code and apply at the field.
