Some define half long as when the second bouce just touches the edge. Others would define these as half long.

Great point. Great observation. The main thing to keep in mind is that we are targeting intermediate level players (1000-1600 level here). So for them, these are considered half-long. Here is the reality... There are 3 types of half-long serves. #1 Half-long short meaning the second bounce touches the white line. #2 True half long meaning the second bounce touches the edge. #3 Half-long out meaning the bounce clearly does not bounce twice. This video was focused on the 3rd one listed. In the future, I'll likely make some videos on the first 2 listed above.
