All right @coach Dubina, I've bought the Omega too, so no more troll posts by me haha . I am going to review it on the forums and see how well it holds up over the months and years. So far i am really impressed by the build quality, including the plastic parts.

@@PowerPongRobots how is that possible? Won’t the bars under the table not fit (not be touching the table for support)?
@leecherlarry2 ай бұрын
@@axtoon2152 the 'bars under the table' are called _support legs_ in the manual and they come with screwable rubber tips to adjust for a couple of millimeters, since the main tube should be perfectly straight up. My table is super thin (has weird aluminum backing), so i simply taped a small wood sheet on the backside of the table, right where the rubber tips make contact to the table. Then i rotate those rubber tips to adjust for perfect 90.00°, measured with a mini *digital inclinometer* . Find my detailed Omega review on the forums and get all your questions answered there!

imho it's about time to *discontinue the outdated Alphaplus and or Delta* , to focus on Omega, improve its build quality (e.g. manufacturing parts out of sintered metal instead of plastics), and reduce the Omega price. The core invention of Power Pong (hardware and electronics) has run its course and it's really time to get the cost down, increase sales, and become more competitive against new attractive *potent* players such as Pongbot Sports Shanghai. Pongbot is backed by immense funding and a large uptodate development team, they're likely to outlast any old players. You may think rightfully that Omega is still the better robot but doht ever undererstimate the funding and marketing power of Chinese companies in the mass consumer markets, they're a huge threat.

You need to change the circuit board to upgrade to the Omega. The cost is the price between the Alpha Plus and the Omega, plus a small shipping charges.

I'm struggling to figure out how to program drills that are semi-regular with the omega. Something like doing a Middle/Free pattern, or a serve receive into opening drill where I can vary the second ball (say I want to practice the transition from short receive into EITHER middle or BH). I have fooled around with using multiple identical serves and shuffle placement but I'm having no luck. Is this a type of drill I can create? Thanks!

The app seems very well structured! As a left handed player, I'd like to know if there is some setting to set all the balls and drills as left handed, so to have forehand and backhand correctly represented. Or have I missed something?

Hi. Posted a question on your site via chat and on Facebook via messenger regarding an Alpha robot and have not received a reply. I just went back to your site and read the message about sending an email if the chat has no response. So I just sent an email. I'll post the question here too. Perhaps others would benefit from the answer. Im considering either the Alpha or the Omega. I see the omega has a port for the box controller but is not used. Is this port still functional? If so, can it be used for any of the control boxes such as the Alpha+, or delta? Im an advanced beginner in my 50’s lookin to improve and get good workouts. I think the Alpha would be enough for me. Do you agree? My concern with the Omega is the bluetooth tech, charging the control pad and having delay in play with boot up. Also having a dead robot if there is a software failure. This is why I asked about the control box port on the Omega being functional. Im thinking about future solutions in the event I want with to use a control box as a fix or even have it as an option.

non of these were half-long tho. they were all long...
@skakollaettklipp3 ай бұрын
Some define half long as when the second bouce just touches the edge. Others would define these as half long.
@PowerPongRobots3 ай бұрын
Great point. Great observation. The main thing to keep in mind is that we are targeting intermediate level players (1000-1600 level here). So for them, these are considered half-long. Here is the reality... There are 3 types of half-long serves. #1 Half-long short meaning the second bounce touches the white line. #2 True half long meaning the second bounce touches the edge. #3 Half-long out meaning the bounce clearly does not bounce twice. This video was focused on the 3rd one listed. In the future, I'll likely make some videos on the first 2 listed above.
