No brainer 🙄
@carolineb49434 жыл бұрын
@@MariekeNoortje8104 but sometimes its not. Sometimes people think eat less means extreme diet or track every calorie intake. Some may think move more means exercise everyday for 3 hrs at the gym until you muscles cant take it anymore. Some may think the way to track progress is to weigh themselves everyday and base it on that. Lucy explains healthy ways to do these 'no brainer' things and really gives good advice to make sure peoples journeys are healthy and safe for them. Please dont undermine these tips as 'no brainers' it can be more complicated or hard to understand (to do them the right way) than that. This is a fantastic and really helpful video by Lucy, explaining those simple tips, especially for people who are just starting weightloss or getting fit/healthy

Im Asian and we grew up eating rice every meal and everyday. Most of the fitness channel told us to cut off carbohydrate, sugar and quit all unhealthy food (like chocolate, donut, fried chicken etc.) makes me feel so wronged. I started and i feel very unhappy a few days, im about to quit losing weight because it is so hard for me to not taking my favorite food. I was surrounded by guilt, deciding eat or not to eat, thinking of eating more will wasted the exercise i did. I was lost until i saw ur video. It makes me feel motivated again as i know i can eat what i like as long as i didnt over eat, i can still loss weight as long as i was in caloric deficit. Thank you for those information 🥰

Juz don’t listen to the hype that white rice is bad. I’m Asian. our ancestors has been eating rice for thousands of years and always been slim. Just look at Japan, China, etc. on how slim they are. Anyone that is heavy is due to not moving enough or picking up bad habits like the western diets. Eat natural and stay away from process meet. That shit is poison. Please don’t give up.

Don't give up. I love eating rice and I have lost more than 30 kgs. I still eat rice but in small proportions. For example - when I eat rice I fill my plate by salads, vegetables,curry and by doing this I don't put large quantities of rice in it.

Finding your videos is the best thing I have do for my life. Exactly like you’ve been saying in this video you’ve helped explain to me the logic and science behind how to be healthier. Before all I think I knew was the myths you see all over social media- only do cardio-no white bread-can’t eat chocolate- good food and bad food- you can’t ever indulge whilst “DIETING”. I definitely feel that I am seeing my journey now as a long path to a healthier lifestyle, not just due to the physical space my body takes up, but how I’m feeling too. How I feel more determined focused and generally happier because I and feeding my brain and my body the nutrition it actually needs and deserves. I am exercising because it makes me feel good and sets me up for a positive day. Not feeling as self conscious or being out of breath in 30 seconds is just an added benefit to a generally better lifestyle. Thank you so much for sharing in such a easily digestible way!! I’m currently trying to build my muscle to make my body stronger to try out cool funky callisthenics moves but I recognise it will take me a long time and I’m okay with that, because I’m seeing small progress. Can’t go from a coach potato to holding handstands without hard work💪🏻 thank you again Lucy!! You really have benefited my life💚

I feel so motivated when I watch these videos of yours.. I actually started count calories about a month ago and I can say that helped me lose some weight. I figured that I was eating much more than I should (I was eating portions like my bf and I'm almost half of him 😁 I still could but I don't). I found out that some foods have more calories than I thought and maybe that was the reason I stagnated with my weight even when I excercised. Now I feel more confident about what I can and cannot eat (or how much). Eventually my goal is to eat intuitively like you 😊

When I was moving into my new house few months ago I found a bag full of old summer clothes that I was wearing like six years ago in college, I tried them on and they were tooo tight, size too small, I cannot butten up blouses...back then I lived in one cute little jeans shorts and now are too small for me, for two sizes. I cried, because I had a hard slap in the face... I still have these shorts, they are my goal! I started whole thing eating less, smaller portions and less carbs, but I was checking my weight every day. That was soooooo stressful and so not good for motivation, thank god that battery died on scale ;) Now I added some training. I exercise almost every day for 20-40 minutes. Every other day I do some cardio and few exercises for toning muscles, I do how many and how long I can and every time one exercise more. Days in between I do joga or exercises for stretching, also I do that too if I am not feeling well, have crams or headache... Bease it is still better than nothing! I feel better, shorts still doesnt fit me, but maybe in one month they will. Thank you, you inspired me even more.

What an excellent video Lucy. You’ve made weight loss so simple. I’m lucky, I’ve always been a normal weight, sometimes well below normal, but I totally get how complicated losing weight is. Companies such as weight watchers and slimming world have made losing weight so much more complicated than it really is just to make money leaving people miserable and feeling a failure because they haven’t been given the right tools. People know about the calorie deficit, eating less, expending energy, moving more but forget about the consistency. Your enthusiasm and real life experience comes across so well. Even though I don’t need to lose weight, I’m going to watch some more!

A bit of bodyweight exercise around 4 times per week and walking hiking swimming or bicycling when i have the chance or am on the mood. Love dancing too 🙂. My goal is to be stronger and healthier so for me is a life goal not for a certain time of period. This way i just enjoy it and dont feel any stress. You are one of the few who explained it in detail, but in interesting and motivating way, especially the part when you say people don't need to track calories because I tried it for just for a couple of days and I'm not good at it, sometimes I can't put in the app exactly how much grams I ate of something, or sometimes I cook something that I had, and maybe it's a combination of foods that usually people don't eat combined so it's not in the app, and it's hard to know just how much I'm eating, so this is a great video, you calmed my nerves thinking I won't be able to lose weight, it's not that much weight, but it's still hard to be consistent and lose it 😣
@JuliaTheJedi3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video ESPECIALLY for the part where you said "if you don't want to track calories you can still lose weight". Whenever I start tracking calories after a few weeks I get into a really bad mindset and feel hungry and deprived ALL the time no matter what or how much I eat. I really hope I can find a way to be in a caloric deficit without tracking my food.

Thank you very much for this video! Losing weight was never an issue when I was younger, but as I get older, it's gotten a lot harder. In the past, I used a certain brand to lose weight and it always worked for me. After watching your video, I realized that the reason why that brand worked was that it used mostly calisthenics. To be honest, I haven't been watching my calories as faithfully as I should but as I am sure you already know it is a journey. I'm now at the stage approaching the end of my workout list an wondering what I can do next to keep myself motivated. Based on your video, I am giving myself a goal to do a handstand by the end of the year. It's something I really miss being able to do.

the most important thing for me to learn in my weight loss journey, is to keep trying new things, and if something isnt working for you, STOP. Dont try to force it to work. and dont blame yourself if something isnt working right for you. There are so many ways to control your habits. For me right now the best way is the 80/20 rule, whole foods, and no snacks. My enemies are snack time and processed foods.

I used to be the same, when I tracked calories it's like I used every excuse to do it 'wrong'. I'd simplify meals so I got to count less (past me, buy a kitchen scale you idiot) if I felt satiated I'd fill up my 'goal' on unhealthy foods I wasn't even craving. Results wouldn't follow (or not fast enough) and I just felt like I was limiting and depriving myself. Eventually reached my goals with a different approach (healthy bmi, strong enough to compensate for my disabilities to the ability of living a normal life, I made new goals now though.) And started tracking for unrelated reasons. I've -totally- changed my diet by knowing exactly what I eat; I eat way more varied, from changing the way I snack to including a way bigger variety of ingredients (and thus nutrition) in my food, noticed I really had to spread out my protein intake better. It gives me both a reassurance when in doubt to try new things and if a 'let's see how these things go together' meal works out, I got it written down.

Is it possible that Macros are not as important for you because you're a Mesomorph while they would be more important for an Endomorph to track? I'm curious because I'm wanting to become fitter and I continue receiving the message that Macro tracking is so important..? I want to get toned. Thank you!😊 By the way, you're BEAUTIFUL!👸🌻

I know this is an older video but just asking in case you check back. The one point I struggle with the most is consistency. I can do well all week but overeat all weekend. Christmas is awful. I put on ten pounds at least. Love the content. So easy to get stressed over the detail.

I have lost 10 kgs. I still want to lose like 2 or 3 kgs but I couldn't do. I can't resist on certain foods and I have become really lazy like the most laziest person I have ever been. How can I get back on track?

You've done amazing so far well done. Either change up your routine and try something different or just grit your teeth and bare it for a few days and it will become easier and more enjoyable! x
