One of the better lowering “how to’s” on KZbin for sure. Didn’t even think about putting the overload on top of the pack! Gunna try that today. Thanks bro 👍🏼

Thank you for saying the size of the sockets you're using and also that through socket is genius I did it with a wrench the first time amd it sucked.

How much more drop did you get by removing leafs?I now have a 4” block in rear just wondering about drop with leafs removed.

@@philiphapeshis1226 I'm not sure. You will need a notch with a 4" block and a monoleaf tho

Hey mate, What size wheels/rims are you running? I did this process to my "86 b2000, mono with load bearing on bottom not top so to minimise drop as I also have the 4" block- I'm hardcore hard up on my fenders in rear and not in a good way. My wheel/rims are 18x9 😅 so fender roll out or cut out or do I just go back to stock leaf and block?!!!! Aarghhh. Fantastic outlay to your video also a pleasure to work from but now I'm stuck on how much it will go up in the gaurd if it wasn't hard up, would there even be room for wheel travel if I dump the clutch or turn? Faark I'm stuck on what to do hahaha 😅

Do you really need the overload leaf I did my Mitsubishi might max solo leaf and left all of it off just left it as the main nothing else and it slammed the back to the ground, what are the effects of putting the overload leaf back in??
@daryncalton8765 Жыл бұрын
Just as I said, it will make it 3/8" lower by flipping the overload to the top side of the main leaf

So a 4" angled block, 1 leaf removed, and 2 notch reindexed torsion bars would be about level then?

Definitely one of the best "how to" videos!! How inches did you get by doing mono?
@tonyalvarez24012 жыл бұрын
Do the rear shocks run low with this method? I used a 4 inch block without removing any leafs and my shocks sit about an inch from the ground. Trying to raise the shocks up somehow. Thanks you
@daryncalton87652 жыл бұрын
Yes, blocks will always hang your shocks low. You could do a shock tab welded to the rear-end itself
@wheelspkruel Жыл бұрын
What about if I don't take non just put the 3 inch blocks

Would it raise if you did a mono leaf or would it go lower?

@@wheelspkruel your shocks are still going to be low to the ground like about 5 inches off the ground.

So just bought a 87 B2200. Previous owner was kind enough to completely remove the torsion bars. Advice on where to find replacements?
@daryncalton87653 жыл бұрын
Junk yard is your best bet. Or just bag the front
@QuesoPants3 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to call around then. LKQ isn’t showing any of these trucks in the entire state. As far as bagging the front I’m assuming that would take some welding/fab work which I’m not capable of lol

i lowered my 93 with 4" blocks and a mono leaf and then i yanked the torsion bars and im getting a lot of negative camber up front. is it normal? and any way i can get it close to 0 camber?
@daryncalton8765 Жыл бұрын
Your torsion bars are your front suspension, I would reinstall them and reindex them to get it sitting level. Camber/caster shims are the cheapest/easiest thing to try
