How to lower your falcon UTE (or how not to)

in this video we install front lowering springs to the falcon ute, and lower the rear end after a few failed attempts with modifying the leaf springs.

Say hello to my little speed humps and aussie driveways. Looks like UIte had heavy duty springs installed and a replacement set probably required, not to mention wheels! OMG too bad bro. Study hard the job, just discovered I got the wrong size struts for mine!

What I did with my BF MK2 ute was put 1 1/2" lowering blocks above the standard leafs/under the diff housing ... put my 20" x 10" x 285's straight on they fitted under the tub and the shock brackets missed the in side rim by 30mm. lowered the front by 1 1/2" .... 8's on the front 10's on the back sits straight as a die...... Chur bro ✌.

usually blocks are the better option since it keeps the spring rate and shock absorber position the same, i guess it depends if you want a stiffer ride and how much bump stop clearance you have

i got a ba xl ute and i literally just removed one leafy. no lowering blocks coulda removed two and it would sit pretty but flippiing tjhem looks heaps better. harder work and really stiff but looks a lot better. thoughts on doing that with a daily tho?

this LPG ute isn’t happy, the 4 spd trans is noisy and the engines grossly underpowered. it will definitely do huge skids one day, today is not that day unfortunately 😆
