It Was hard to see the bottom of the mitered corner on the first one because there was a wording over that area and it was real close to the bottom I tried different positions on my phone to see it but it was difficult to see I like the way you did it and made your corners and major loop it looked very easy thank you for the detailed information I’m gonna try this

Your video is very nice and you are so informative. I am saying the following only because I believe it will be helpful for you to know. I do not mean it to be harsh in anyway. I would love to watch more of your videos hopefully this comment will make you aware of a slight problem that you can correct easily. The part of your video there you are showing, while informing us of how to do the corners is off camera. The screen is about the area where the sewing is being done below the level of the camera eye. Thanks for explaining so well verbally but I need to visually watch you do the part where you use your finger or something to make the corner mitered.

Hi. Sorry, you could not see everything correctly in the video. We have written instructions here which may help: www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?KZbinPageID=114. When you are showing the mitered corners, the camera is off of your corner so we can't see what you are doing. Also, you said that when you get to the mitered corner, you "stop in the middle or the right of the stitch." What do you mean by that?
@Needlepointers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Melinda, yeah I'm sorry that the video on this one missed some of the corners on the potholder. Our page may have more information on this: www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?youtubepageid=114. I also have a more recent tutorial that I believe shows the corners better in the photos and the video: www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?youtubepageid=410. Happy Stitching!
@Needlepointers2 жыл бұрын
The "middle to right" comment is talking about the serpentine stitch. When stopping in the corner to turn, I like to stop stitching when the needle is in the middle or towards the right side. This looks nicer when you turn and then continue the serpentine stitch. Happy Sewing!
@wendygarton64285 жыл бұрын
I love the simplicity of this, but as I’ve never sewn anything with binding before, it was difficult to see some of the things you were doing. (I’m not saying that in a negative or nasty way) just loved how this video was easy, but I really do need that visual

Hi. Sorry, you could not see everything correctly in the video. We have written instructions here which may help: www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?KZbinPageID=114. So you get to a 1/4 inch from the end, then what? See straight through? Off to the corner?
@Needlepointers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy! Thanks for your question. Stop at 1/4" from the corner with your needle down, pivot to point towards the corner and then sew off the edge of the fabric in the corner. Hope this helps!
