So cool! I have GOT to spend some time learning how to use pin-point placement on my 790+. From what I saw you do it looks like a total game-changer when working with machine embroidery on odd-shaped products. BTW, I love your videos! So clear and concise!

What a fabulous idea, what size and type of needle did you use? Love your work Shelly 🌺🦋🌸

I usually use a microtex 80. Try any needle you normally use.

You make it all look so easy! Can I ask? I have a 570 QE What do you think abt my trading it up for the 880 plus? I do embroider and quilt. I am looking for an opinion. THanks Shelly

Cath, I love my 880 Plus. In fact I love my 830 which I still own and use. I love the bobbin system and have several videos that should help you if you decide to trade up. That being said, you really must go into a dealer and try both the 8 series and 7 series machines. It would be a good idea to make an appt so the store will have someone familiar with both machines ready to help you. Shelly

I couldn’t agree more with Shelly’s advice abt going to your local Bernina dealer and trying out the 7 and 8 Series machines. I have the 790+ and love it!

Cath, I am a member of BERNINA's Event Team. See if a dealer near you is holding a StitchWise Savvy Stitching event. They are a great way to experience the 880 and 790 machines. This is a 1 day event.
