I *love* this quilting tutorial! Being a beginner to quilting, I am still so anxious about quilting, thinking I will ruin my beautifully pieced blocks, but you are so encouraging! 😊 Do you have a link where to order that darning foot you are using here? Mine does move up and down with the needle, and I always have the impresssion, that it moves too much... It is not adjustable, though, so maybe I better invest in a better foot 😉

I'm glad you're enjoying our videos! Definitely share them with your friends! On the foot - this is a darning foot for a Juki F400 so I'd search google for a sewing machine retailer that carries it. Unfortunately I'm not able to carry it in my shop, but I'm sure you can find it online.

+Leah Day thank you so much for the information! With this I surely will be able to find it. Buying it in the US would not make so much sense, as shipping is expensive and there are retailers for Juki stuff overe here in europe. I think I've even seen one here in Vienna ☺ Again, thank you very much for the info. I will keep watching your videos :)

I would think a small ruler and a proper marker would take way less time than ripping out the waxed paper on those straight lines, And as you said, most can be done free motion with a few guides.

I think so too personally. I prefer marking directly on the quilt though and some quilters just hate it.

Ok , I’m confused (perpetual state for me). I printed out the stitching designs for this block twice checking to make sure the 1 inch guide is actually measuring accurately. Put it together both times and the finished measurement is 13.5. Too small the block. Humm? Is it just me? Didn’t have any problems blocks 1-7.

It's probably your printer settings, which can change depending on the last settings selected. Check that you're printing actual size with no scaling, fitting, or shrinking. Also please check that 1 inch box again with a quilting ruler.

Thank you Leah. The one inch guide always measures one inch (with a quilting ruler) when printing actual size. Thats why it wasn't making sense to me. Weird printer! I'm playing with the enlarge percentages until I get exactly 7 inch squares. Once I have that I'm good. Thanks again!
