If you use a hairdryer to heat the back of the palette, to melt/soften the glue, it generally makes the pans easier to pull off. Which makes it less likely that a shadow will break and not as destructive on the palette. Some people use hot plates or flat irons, but I find that to destructive on the packaging and dangerous.
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
Awesome!!! Yes I definitely get a little nervous when it comes tonadding heat to a palette especially since heat generally degrades many of thr ingredients in a shadow. Thanks I will try the blow dryer method. About how long should I put the blow dryer to the bottom of the palette?
@cjaneg973 жыл бұрын
@@KendraMorgan It varies but I just go by touch. You don't want it to be too hot but more of a "comforting warmth" to start and see how easy it is to lift the pans. The good thing is it's not easy to wreck a palette with a hair drier and it's clear if it isn't hot enough.
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
Perfect! Thank you. I think i have one more palette I'd like to do this with and I really need to be able to loosen from glue with heat if possible since it's an all matte palette. 🎨

What size are these pans? Similar to the colourpop pans in palettes? 23mm?
@kendramorgan31103 жыл бұрын
I believe colourpop is 22.5 mm and the Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity shadows are roughly 26.6 mm. Excellent question!!!

I enjoy depoting vids 👍 on the plus side you’ll be able to mix and match using these shades for palette dupes (❤️) and swap out other shades in the palette. The one con is that the palette itself was really damaged bc of the cheap palette material. Hey, I was pretty happy with the price point to get phenomenal eye shadows…. TFS 🥰
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! It was fairly scarred but hey it beats having to find an 18 pan empty magnetic palette and thus adding to the already $78 price tag. You're welcome!!! Im kinda looking forward to putting some of these shadows in as dupes for palettes since I know many of us own this palette yet I see it reappear in IG posts or videos very rarely!

When you do things like this is always so intriguing to me. Just because my OCD never lets me do things like this. I use magnetic sheets a lot in my craft room. Can you not crunch 🤣🤣

@@KendraMorgan Not to toot my own horn, but you must! It took me wasting lots of mica to perfect the formula and now these are SUUUUUPER creamy! Silky to the touch. Customers who ordered when I started and ordered for this launch gave me high praises on the improvements. To the point that I want to try my perfected “juice” with other brands that feel dry to the touch (like JDG’s Chartreuse - I can sand furniture with it I swear lol). When you do let me know, so I can make suggestions and make sure you get the must haves. We also got codes. My current promo is $20 off of $100. But we are preparing a 4th of July sale too and I have a grungy release for Halloween. If you saw the shades 🤤

Haha I would never have the guts to do this but look at you go!!! Would you try it with other palettes
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
I want to do this with my Coloured Raine vivid brights bc I always want to use it but since it's all matte, I never find myself reaching for it.

Omg I love this project! You’re so much more patient than I can ever be 😩 when I cut out the magnetic sheet, I just cut it into squares and trim away the edges to make them fit the pan size. The thing with magnetic sheet is, over time the bond gets stronger! It won’t ever be as strong as neodymium magnets, but if you remove them manually without a magnet, you can definitely tell the difference between when you first put them in and move them around, versus after them having some time being attached to each other. Personally I think the palette pretty secure and travel safe! Did the added thickness of the magnetic pieces at the bottom create any difficulty in closing the palette securely for you? It’s a problem I often run into, so I’d rather DIY my own magnetic palettes from scratch and factor the extra thickness in!
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
No, the shadows laid flush for the most part!! I hope tbe magnets get a little stronger and then I'd definitely travel. Thanks so much for watching!!!

Do you depot all of your palettes into one big one?
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
Noooo! I decided to do this one and make the palette a reusable magnetized palette bc this palette is really hard to use as a stand alone palette and is better to take out shadows and use with other shades in my collection!
@PrettyPsychedBeauty3 жыл бұрын
@@KendraMorgan Gotcha! I guess I never really thought about depotting anything of mine. I usually just use a few palettes if I need to, but most of the time I just use one palette.
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
Which ONE palette do you use or are you saying you just use one palette at a time? I didnt swatch any kfnthr shadows but most are duochromes and I think 1 or 2 are multichrimes so you're restricted to the 3 mattes and 1 shimmer shadow for the most part. Otherwise you can't see the shift. So I figured maybe I'd get more use if I made the shadows removable.
@PrettyPsychedBeauty3 жыл бұрын
@@KendraMorgan I typically only use one palette at a time. If I'm doing a look, I want it to be easy haha. I think that's why I actually like larger palettes.
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
That sounds legit!!! I actually like to think less so I like smaller pan palettes.

You should trace it at the white side of magnetic sheet for better visibility :)

I'm terrible about depotting . I can't do it without casualties.
@KendraMorgan3 жыл бұрын
I never put it in there but there were a couple casualties. Mostly my son digging into the shadows but a couple of them I scarred up pretty good. I'm just really good at repressing.
