When u trim val does the whole leaf die. I need to trim mine but im scared. And so hard to trim from bottom

Yes the whole leaf will die but will take some time… if you need to trim than I would say selectively trip the extreme over grown leaves

@@nature_scape hmm. Tricky. My tank is full of bal and all over surface. I might have to get long scissors in and trim at base. The outer older leaves. To thin out the top. I don't know... its completely covered all surface which is great for my guourai. They love it. But blocking the flow a bit.

@@laurag1076 yes too long vallisneria will definitely restrict the flow to a certain extent but if you don’t want to go all the way till the end with scissors you can even run your hand along the leaf as low as u can get and just pinch it with your fingers

Moss sucks. I wont ever do it in large places again. I attach to wood and take wood out. Trim it out tank. Then place back in

Yes indeed taking wood out and trimming is convenient and do keep the tank clean but that’s if the moss is used in selective places and u are absolutely correct that Moss is definitely a bit of pain while trimming but the aged look that it gives to the scape is worth the pain 🙂
