Only if you spill it on the grass. It won't leach up from the drain field and kill grass.

The septic tank produces it's own bacteria. It does not need yeast to break down the solids.

Yes it might if you do too many loads of wash at once or put the wrong chemicals in there. Just like a compost pile you need to take care of it

Alot of idiots that call themselves plumbers will tie all the wastewater into the tank with greywater, cheap and lazy. Your clean wastewater should be seperate and tied into the leach like at the effluent of your tank. Only your toilets should be going into the tank itself. soaps and other cleaning fluids kill the entire process. Especially toilet cleaners.
