I have friends that leased their land or parts of it for growing and raising animals . I also have friends that owned a lot of wooded land and they would harvest the wood for pretty much everything from fire wood to wood chips to boards pallets so on nothing was wasted. Every year they would take some of the profit to plant more trees.

Why does he think Amish are they only people that have and work on farms? Brad has never heard of Hutterites or Mennonites or builder that specialize in Barns or Bridges or Ponds or Wells, ETC. Some Amish are good at some thing and others are not. Just like any builder. I have had Amish do a great job on a cheap pole barn and not so good building a bridge. I have had Mennonites do good and bad jobs on project and the same with Hutterites. Just like any builder. Find the best man for the job, Amish or not.
