Chris Guillebeau is a New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, podcaster, and modern-day explorer. During a lifetime of self-employment that included a four-year commitment as a volunteer executive in West Africa, he visited every country in the world (193 in total) before his 35th birthday. Since then he has modeled the proven definition of an entrepreneur: “Someone who will work 24 hours a day for themselves to avoid working one hour a day for someone else.”
Every summer in Portland, Oregon, Chris hosts the World Domination Summit, a gathering of creative, remarkable people with thousands in attendance. Chris is also the founder of Pioneer Nation, Unconventional Guides, the Travel Hacking Cartel, and numerous other projects.
His newest book, The Money Tree: Finding the Fortune In Your Backyard, comes out April 2020. It is his first full-length fiction book, and it tells the story of a man who learns to take control of his finances and live a better, healthier life.
His daily podcast, Side Hustle School, is downloaded more than 2 million times a month. Do you find yourself living paycheck to paycheck? Do you want to start saving more money? Do you want to start making extra money to spend on the things you want? This podcast is designed to help you create a new source of income without quitting your job.

Did Chris actually answer a question directly? I feel that Lewis felt this, as well, which is why he kept pressing Chris with different variations of the same question, 'How does one get started to earn?' Which is why Chris's reaction @ 21:20 mark is priceless, and Lewis doesn't back down, he returns that 'sigh' with a pregnant pause, waiting for his answer. I've listened to Chris's podcast, and it's a great concept, but it lacks meat. He tries, but it's a lot of fast-talking and glossing over a lot of realities. Worth a listen, though, and see if it works for you. Sincerely, Good Luck!!

I agree, not much to glean from that conversation. He said it in the interview, "I really don't want to give too much away". That's for for sure, he wants to sell that book!

Probably because he wants to sell his products or services which teach: 1. Pay for an ad (Craigslist, Facebook, Google, etc.) 2. When a human calls, plan a day to show up to do the job 3. Show up and do the job 4. Get paid And I don't mean my comment in any bad way. I'm sure he has more information than that plus some. He sounds like he knows his stuff. He's got to make money though.

This is a great interview and it is definitely good advice. This is one journey you have with yourself so to tell you exactly what to do is impossible. But you can do the impossible which is WHAT YOU WANT TO DO!

Solid Interview. I purchased Money Tree yesterday after watching the interview and finished it today. Great way to convey some strong messages that ANY ONE can apply in their life. The entrepreneurs in developing countries show us that there should never be excuses to stop us from our goals!

Wow, his book concept is great! He should delve into more book recycling systems for college students. I can tell he feels for the college student population. I am a single mom and graduate-level student, and the scholarship and grant pool is much smaller for us. So, I appreciate it when speakers like Chris can voice some of the issues happening in Academia. My favorite takeaway is the book exchange system he created. My second takeaway is to be intentional. You are the vehicle to move your life from our sister's couch to become who you want to be eventually. We have to resolve what bothers us to create a better version of our future.

there are babies born in good circumstances and they grow smart and cunning and try to get hundreds and thousands of passive income streams, they have power and getting more power, this is a very small percentage of people, and they suck a lot of opportunities for the less advantaged people born in a mentality of lack... humanity lost the sense of how much enough is enough and people still don't have empathy and compassion towards the other... I hope this global situation will bring more wisdom, compassion and oneness

There are high paying jobs, but they exist in sectors that aren't glamorous. Kids are told they have to go to college, when the market is larger for high paying trades, technology jobs, and other jobs continue to increase and can get paid well without getting into debt and without needing a 4 yr degree.
