Many moons ago just down the road from you in the fourth year as a Chef in the RAF at Coningsby a fellow Chef taught me the delights of what we called Veg Pie and Veg Bake. Very similar to what you have made but no eggs. We used Courgette, Onion, Potato, Mushroom, Cabbage, Leek, Tomato, Cauliflower and Broccoli amongst many pretty much as you have just made or the bake version which had no pastry and we finished with a melted grilled Cheese top. Whenever we made it, it went down very well either way and I still regularly make for the family today in the colder winter nights and is loved. Great vid Mr and Mrs B.

Good vid guys. Sharon's look says it all. When I was a kid, would go on a smelt gathering. They spawn near shore and get stranded, just scoop up into buckets. Dad would put them in a smoker oven. They stink to high heaven. I didn't want to taste it because of the smell. But, once you take a bite, the bad smell is gone and you have a wonderful taste. That is what this reminds me of. This brought back an old memory I had lost. Thanks.

Great video Martin. Looks very tasty in those days it was eat it or do without lol. Get some tripe down you, some of the cows stomach lining lol.
