With a 72mm turbo.. and people been hating so bad!! They just hate and hate , and say how bad of an idea it is and how it will blow up etc! I have a stage 3 build from speed performance. They shipped me the motor built off a brand new 2.0 block (but with the 2.3 head) Stage 3 cams and upgraded pistons and everything that can be done to the motor for 700 plus horsepower. I live in Canada with crappy fuel so still going through the tuning stages off pump gas, but I can tell you it’s pretty wild to get traction, but once you do it’s really fast. Anyone who rides in the focus is ready to tap almost instantly Can’t imagine once I get the E85 tune on there… Running a Precision 6065 turbo 😏

crazy sleeper for sure...beautiful color! one thing I'm surprised you didn't comment on was your PCV set up...i see a vented oil cap...which i heard can cause a mess...I run a Damond stage 1 off the manifold (custom vta), a JLT rear (on the intake), and have a Radium PCV plate with a spare OCC im putting on to also VTA... this is for a BNR71/XDi hpfp set up with a 400-430whp goal... i cant even imagine what your lag is like with a 600hp set up... ive been FBO/e30 stock turbo for years, but all these parts are in the garage and i started the install last weekend. I'm sure mine will be a night and day difference, then to even fathom 600hp in this platform would be just insane to drive at full potential ^_^ nice build, clean beautiful car...ill check to see if you have other videos... i love sleepers and would love to see this thing whoop up on some big powered cars!

Nice video man! I'm currently FBO with an e30 tune on my car, I got a 2017 ST. I'm just trying to figure out if I should go with a different car to build or stick with the ST and build that. It's my only car right now, so I don't think it would be such a great idea to BT it yet until I can get another car just incase it breaks down for whatever reason. I've seen people daily their BT ST's with no problems at all, but I don't trust myself. If I can't make it to school/work because I just spent $2k on a new turbo and the car's motor just blew I would cry haha. I can't imagine what I would do then. Other than my situation, great video and very informative. I look forward to seeing all of your future videos, keep them coming!

Absolutely! and i completely understand. My stock motor/2867r setup at 400whp lasted me almost 30k miles before the stock motor popped, but there's really no way to tell. Id definitely recommend having a back up car or a motor on hand in case of issues. As far as modifying this car vs another platform, it all comes down to personal preference. Ive always been a fan of a "sleeper" setup and everytime i do a pull in the lil blue hatchback, an alarm goes off in my mind saying "um this car should not be this fast" and i love it lol... everybody expects a corvette to be "fast", but some of the reactions ive gotten of the st thusfar have been hilarious and priceless.

I appreciate the response my man, I'll definitely have to stick with this platform because I know it has so much potential.

@@zyacub4008 How many miles did the car have when it blew at that power level? Did it trash the block or was it still in alright shape? My stock motor blew a ringland at 125k miles after about 30-35k miles at 400whp. A little scoring on the cylinder walls but nothing that couldn’t be machined out. I actually found a low compression long block for cheap and built that motor on a stand so when mine blew, it was pretty much just swapping the built motor in. Cost a little more but saves a lot of time if you don’t have another car to drive.

If you want to build the motor that’s in your car, it’s definitly safer to do it before damage is done. I have a theory that the only reason my BT setup lasted as long as it did is because I didn’t do it until almost 100k miles. The cylinders and rings were worn enough to slow for further expansion under high boost. I’ve know guys to blow there motors very soon after pushing 400+ so it’s definitely a gamble
