Thanks for the video! Question, can you do the same with other sounds like, violin, piano, guitar, to make it sound like a human is playing? In Cubase pro 8??!

Hi! A piano wouldn’t naturally glide from one note to another, because you’d always have to play another key. But for a violin for example you can check the vst you’re using for the legato setting (so it won’t trigger a new ‘note start’ every time) + the glide setting for a more natural transition between notes. Hope that helps!

I definitely recommend that, Cubase 11 will blow your mind 😄 I think you can still get an update on Cubase 5. So you go to steinberg.net and when you click on ‘buy Cubase 11’ you get the option to update your version, which is cheaper than buying the whole thing again 👍

Hmm, I think you’d have to play your bass in a vst that has glide settings. Not sure if Cubase 5 has a tool to play a sample like the sampler in the newer versions.

I think you can’t do it like this, with 808 samples. But most bass synths have a glide knob, so I’d recommend you pick a gritty bass preset in one of your synths and play around with the glide setting of the synth itself.
