The thing that draws me to your channel is your narration. Unlike other channels that do these crafts, you actually narrate things and you do it in an entertaining way with a lot of dry humor and I really enjoy that. On top of that you're also very good at what you do, props to you man

For somebody that enjoys building dioramas, you will enjoy model railroading. The possibilities are endless. Rule number 1, don't let anybody dictate what you do with your railroad. Be historical, futuristic, or fantasy, it's your railroad. I saw a sign on a display at a train show the read, Rule #1: This is my railroad. Rule #2: If you see any non-prototypical operations see rule #1. Enjoy.

IKR?! I have been asking/suggesting that for weeks now in thw comments of his Wild Imaginary West build videos. Something like the train robbery episode of Firefly would be really cool. Or maybe a Pinkerton train hauling a huge monster that breaks out and escapes...🤔 Whatever he does I am sure he will call it good and we will call it fanfreakin'tastic!!

The passenger car that you used is a model of an 1870s wooden open platform passenger car. These cars where very typical of the western frontier in the 1870s-1880s. Although the one you have is painted and lettered for the modern day tourist railroad Durango and Silverton. Would make a neat subject for your Western series.

Great job, I encourage you to get into an HO scale layout. It is a dying hobby but it is the roots of much of the terrain and diorama builds done today.
@ocalicreek3 жыл бұрын
The hobby is not dying; there are lots of us still enjoying it every day. It just doesn't have the market share it used to back when a toy train around the Christmas tree was still the de facto thing to do.
@seanobrien71693 жыл бұрын
@@ocalicreek You can't even find hobby stores anymore. No more plastic scale models, photography and art supplies are dying breeds too. Just because a few people still do something does not mean it isn't dying or flat out dead. Short of Amazon, or if you are really lucky and live in a very large city with a single hobby shop, you can't even find model railroad stuff. That said, it is a great time to be into model RR or plastic scale. With LED technology, resin and plastic printing, computer generated graphics etc...The sky is the limit to what you can do today compared to the 1970s. But yeah, it is pretty dead, though I wish the eight of you doing it lots of luck. Wish I had the room for a layout...
This is amazing! Loved all the little puns and jokes you sprinkled in 😂

@garysprandel18173 жыл бұрын
Awesome job. Just a heads up if you do any more rail related dioramas in the the future there should be monthly train swap meets if you're even remotely close to a major city and you can usually find more than a couple dealers with Euro or foreign rolling stock as well as a reasonably less expensive way to get a start in model railroading if the bug has bitten you. BTW your ballasting seemed pretty spot on and the only thing I'd suggest is an old trick I did was to give the sides of the rail a shot of rust brown and then run a track cleaning eraser over the rail heads to give the impression of rails that had rusted all over but where the wheels had polished them.
