no one is talking about the fact that he is using an AC to DC converter. to power an INDUCTION AC motor. and the voltage would be way too low. There is no inverter. Even if you added one, it would be too power-hungry.

The ideas are sound but the methodology and application are flawed. Although it works after a fashion it will not produce more than a single light bulbs worth of energy. Try it at your loss.
