So clean just the video I was looking for to see how you prep and coat control arms with ball joints and bushings. So I can coat the insides where rubber bushings press in but make sure to tape or plug inside surface where ball joints press In 👍
@royalcoatspowdercoating11 ай бұрын
Some bushing areas can be tighter than others but these weren’t a problem to get in. You definitely want to remove the ball joints and mask those areas before coating since the tolerances are pretty tight. 👍🏼

great vid man. im just in the process of stripping my quad down for powder coating, but id like to ask is, if your using just a normal polyester powder coat on the springs. will it not crack off when the springs compress under load etc when riding? thanks for your help.
@royalcoatspowdercoating2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Powder coat is pretty flexible so you’ll be just fine coating springs, I do it all the time. 👍🏼

I was thinking about doing both my front 2 a-arms, can you give me a rough estimate how much that would run?

Send me a message to 281-985-1442 or royalpowdercoats@gmail.com and I can come up with an estimate for you.

Do you put it back together for the customer be after coating?
@royalcoatspowdercoating4 жыл бұрын
I usually work with the customer on whatever is easiest for them. Some people bring me disassembled arms, and some people bring their entire four wheeler. This customer just pulled the arms off his bike and brought them straight over. Any extra work besides coating I charge by the hour for labor.

What stripper and neutralizer do you prefer?
@royalcoatspowdercoating3 жыл бұрын
I use rim strip for price and efficiency and just water and baking soda to neutralize
