A few years ago i decided to make this table. overall it was a very good design. I had to make some adjustments because i dont have tools like the guy in the video. I ran into two BIG problems: 1. if you follow the video at 4:20 he mounts the legs what looks like 2 inches from the end. If you do this(which i did) you will find that when you stand the table up IT WILL COLLAPSE in the middle because all of the weight will be in the middle. i moved the legs in towards the center to distribute the weight so the middle wont cave in. I also ran planks of wood across there the leg mounts were for more support. 2. if you are like me and buy 2' x 4' ply wood, the table legs will hit the skirt around the side preventing you from closing the table. I had to make cuts in the skirt in order to be able to fold (I bought the table leg set at home depot so it might be the set i bought was just too wide.) Overall pretty easy build. i had to drill screws through the top of the table into the skirt because i didnt have half the tools he had.

+Jmar Unfortunately ran into the same issue. I think 24" is standard for the Folding legs so they will not fit inside if you make it 48 X24". I should have opened the leg box and measured earlier because I am almost certain I bought the same leg set he attaches in the video.

What kind of screws/how long of screws did you use for the pocket holes?

i just made one similar to this but different cause i didnt use a fram.. instead i put two pieces of 2x4 across and put 3 door hinges cause i felt they would be stronger and have more support. home depot cut up all the wood there. i just told them what sizes i needed and they did it for me. all i also was worried about it kinda bowing inward cause it is a very long table so i actually bought another set of legs and put one towards the middle for extra support. of course this isnt 100% necessary.

don't use polyurethane on the top it turns yellow. use polycrylic for a clear coat..awesome finish especially if you have graphics on top.... use the urethane on the bottom.. trust me, dont waste the good stuff on the bottom. there is about $10 difference between the two cans.

Where did you get your legs? The only ones I can find are 24” wide which is too wide to fit under the table

Hello, unfortunately Jason is no longer at eReplacementParts.com. Jason went out on his own to get the supplies for the table. I would guess he went to one of the big box stores.

How much weight can it hold with out collapsing in the middle? And if so, is there any way to make it stronger

Why would the railings be 47 and 7/8. I understand that you lose about an eighth of an inch from the saw blade but if its 47 and 7/8 that means that you have lost a 1/4 in total. Should the side railings not touch in the centre of the table?

Where did you find the fold-able legs? I can't find legs with a small enough width to fold under the table. All I am finding are 24" wide legs which would be too wide to fit.

HEY CAN ANYONE ANSWER ME IF I PAINT A DESIGN LIKE SNOOOPY THE DOG ON MY TABLE WOULD I PUT THE POLYURITHANE AFTERE OR BEFOREEE?!!!!
@ThreeTwoVictor

You would start with a coat of primer, probably white. Then add your design, followed by clear coat. Then after that has dried, add your polyurethane.

most of these are made by college students who dont have access to an entire garage of saws and blades. Not the most helpful if you arent friends with a carpenter.
