This has become a staple in my diet. I bump up the veggie content just because ... veggies... healthy ... lol and have it at least once a fortnight. I’m actually eating it tonight (Monday) watching Masterchef all stars and wishing you were there to watch. I halve the recipe (single gal in COVID19 lockdown) and get dinner and lunch the next day. Thank you so much. It’s really delicious and only takes about 20 minutes until it gets in my belly!

Followed the recipe to a tea. Then we realised we didn't have Hoisin Sauce when we thought we did. Googled best substitute...BBQ sauce with some siracha and vinegar, but there was already vinegar so we didn't add more. AMAZING. Have tried the same recipe with Hoisin Sauce, doesn't have the same feel. We rather the alternative to Hoisin :-)

I made this today. It was Devine, easy and I had everything on hand. The searing of the beef really does add a whole other level of flavor. Don't skip this step. I used dried fettuccine pasta instead of noodles because that was what I had on hand. Truly delicious!

I made this last night! I was seriously impressed. Yes, so hard to keep from moving the beef. I did not have dark soy (could not find) and used hokkien noodles since thats all i could find too! IT WAS AMAZING. I was nervous of the ground beef burning but it charred perfectly. I drained a little of the oil as I got a fattier beef mince. But wow. I loved it! Thank you!! I have been so afraid to try your recipes, but this gave me the confidence to try a ton more! Lots of Love!

As someone who lives alone, I often struggle to find the motivation to cook myself a meal, so tend to take the easier and less healthy option. After seeing this I decided to give it a go. OH MY GOD! It's freaking amazing and takes very little time to prepare. I'll be having this at least once a week from here on. Thanks for the great recipes and entertaining videos :)
@Juleru4 жыл бұрын
I made these noodles today and the sauce and combination were delicious! I even managed to get the ground beef to crisp up by leaving it alone. :) A couple of tips: 1. I used mixed ground meat (beef + lamb), which was too fatty - I had to drain the remaining oil (got really crispy though), so definitely stick to 100% beef! 2. I used 500g noodles for 500g of meat and it was a good ratio imo. 3. I didn't have any "white" vinegar, so I used rice vinegar. 4. You do want to break up the meat right in the beginning, otherwise you're going to end up with one big, crispy mass that's hard to break in the end. 5. I used "Pancit Canton" noodles, as they looked the closest to what you were using. They were okay but became kind of "mushy" after tossing them in the sauce, even though I didn't cook them for long. I'm definitely going to cook this dish again but with spaghetti. 6. Pre-shredded carrots aren't sold where I live, so I just used one of those manual food processors to get small pieces. 7. I shredded the cabbage finely the same way (huge tip if you've got kids, they'll never know that they're eating vegetables. :P) and used 2 heaped cups (about 500-550g), which was a bit too much imo. I think, around 300g would be better.
