Generalist loadouts are pretty good in the early game. I think as you progress they become less and less usable. End game the only generalist loadout I use are rush loadouts to quickly clear easy stages

my generalist loadout rn and reasons for having the units in case anyone was curious eraser (meatsheild) manic mowhawk (meatsheild) manic eraser (meatsheild) can can (nice for early in most stages with money up and high single target damage) greater demon is in here but that's cuz I just rolled him from excellent selection and wanted to try them true kyosaka nanaho sacred blade Sakura (my first ever uber so their mainly here for sentimental value but also surge and wave immune is helpful and they have a ultra form im saving for) awakened bahamut (I wanted a rusher) Izanami of eventide (pretty good stats not bad range and the spirit is nice) diabolic gao (good hp good range good damage just good all around 100% freeze and massive damage against traitless is good too and as ive already said immunity to waves is nice too this unit hard carried me thru all the crazed and manic stages especially manic and crazed gross can you tell this is my favorite unit?)

Thank U wise Christian anteater! :D although, I do disagree with some parts such as not using wave attackers, since most of them are already generalists and the only ones that U won't use are the ones who suck (eg. doll cats), also I Mushroom is honestly a pretty good general attacker on par with Kitty of Liberty (which I admittedly underrate), also, also for Golfer Cat, I honestly think Ur better off using M.M.legs or Housewife instead since his inability to hit the frontline while not having that much range just gives him a weakness without a benefit larger that other snipers, and also, also, also for the not using ubers or talented cats since they would eventually become irrelevant, I honestly think that that's not the case since most good talents U would wanna use til endgame (eg. cancan db, cyber slow, balrog strengthen, anubis UT, posiedon sb, housewife sb, fest units, yukimura, ect, AND the ubers that may be less relevant in the future usually get redeemed with UFs/UTs or only fall off due to better alternatives, making limiting yourself in using them not really necessary since a player can always learn from a stage anyways.

Nice video! You definitely explained everything very well. Just to put this out there, this seems very early game oriented. The actual theoretical best lineup is: Riceball, Ramen, Cameraman, Balrog, Gravicci, 6th slot could go to a lot of units such as Rock, D’arkt, Ganesha, Anubis, Phono, then the rest of the lineup is Izanagi, Dasli, Dphono, and Lasvoss. If you like, you can replace Riceball, Ramen and Gravicci for Manic Eraser and Jiangshi so you can fit in two of the beforehand mentioned units, but you lose spammability on Cameraman. Obviously this is hard ubercarry but it can beat 99.9% of all stages in the game. Just saying.

Here's some of the changes i'd make in your generalist loadouts 1st Loadout: -I'd replace goemon with a backliner unit (cyberpunk or urunrun if you have no good ubers), because welll... he's goemon cat, also you have can can cat which does what goemon do anyways -Roe is a solid tank against non-red but without research ehh i'd probably just add a backliner instead, for red you should be fine with courier Note: You can also put can can and dancer in top spot and replace one of your unit for gato amigo for the feel the dance combo which give 10% more hp, so that can be nice 2nd Loadout: -If it's for generalist purpose cyberpunk should be used over sniper the deadeye -If you have jiangshi speed talnet, i'd replace manic mohawk with him for the tiny ancient hunt combo which give +10% attack -Manic Island is pretty meh as a generalist nowadays so i'd go with can can for melee damage instead -Thaumaturge isn't really that good for general purposes, and you lack backliner/sniper damage here so throw in a backliner (if you don't have suitable uber than urunrun) -If you have slime and especially its trueform i'd replace awakened bahamut cat with him too, bullet train is also honestly a better substitute for the most part Overall i think your loadout is aight but for generalist loadout it lacks backliner/sniper damage or just chip damage in general, this can be dangerous for higher ranged threat. Also if you want to see my generalist loadout then here it is (it's mostly for grinding though so it'll be more about speed than good units, if you want loadouts that can beat the most stages i'd suggest shichi7 perfect loadout, the units are very boosted but with lower + level and substitue for meta ubers it can still beat most stages): Riceball + Vigler (for cheating heart combo) + Ramen (he's the best meatshield with cheating hearts) + Richest Cat + Kunio (just to make grinding faster) Can Can Cat (Double Bounty is useful and can can just has goated stats) + Manic Lion Cat (Speedrunning stages) + Cat Researcher (alright midranger dps + critter/shield piercer) + Dark Phono (my main backliner dps) + Yukimura (Rusher, Chipper, Also great for black stages) for harder stages i'd just make its own dedicated loadout and use the copy loadout thing if i want to grind them again

my loadout is can can, courier, bullet train, manju, dual erasers, pizza, thunder jack, housewife, awakened bahamut. i really favor rushers in my playstyle, breakerblast can handle barriers and any metal stage would require a full setup change anyways. so this setup works quite well and has helped me most of the way through UL already. thunder jack may be an uber, but i use him a lot as a second awakened bahamut

My loadout of Dual Eraser, Talented Pizza, an Island (Manic until I got brainwashed for zombies), A Bahamut, Lil Dark Valkyrie, a Kasli (regular for a long time, shet turned to the darkside recently though), and Mitama has served me well for a very long time. As for the missing spots, I used to have Ramen but I found them to be my least used cat in the lineup so I replaced them with Courier once I got him (getting it was surpringly weird after coming back to the game after like 3-4 years.) And the last slot was Mina for the longest time but I recently got Sirius who has been wonderful to use. Yeah I like my Ubers but like, why not use the cool units

I feel a better use for the goemon cat would be to use slime cat to clear out quick peons and for the good damage or for malevolent macho legs. I also feel dual erasers is better bc erasers are better for staling and are better in zombie stages. I also think cyber punk takes the place of both omyoji cat and sniper the dead eye better and with those spots u can fit can can and a legend like buhaumat or naala. I also thinks it depends on if you’re speed running easy levels where in that case I would focus on damage up combos and money up Combos

1. 3 Ubers is absolutely insane under generalist circumstances in my opinion. 2. I'll make a video about why Kitty of Liberty is underrated, but you are completely and utterly wrong about her classification as just a "barrier breaker". Kitty of Liberty is a suicide ranger first and a barrier breaker second, as her HP and DPS are both great, though she has one knockback. For example her DPS at just level 30 is 4.7k with a range of 320! With stats like this and with a little bit of investment over LVL 30 through talents or Cats eyes, plus her nice cost of 825c and low cooldown, she can body enemies like R.Ost or enemies that don't deal enough damage to 1 shot her. Barrier Breaker on top of these generally high stats just puts her into two niches and it doesn't limit her to being a barrier breaker. A critical hitter is specifically crafted to deal with metal enemies and nobody else, and a barrier breaker is specifically crafted to deal with starred aliens with barriers. ​@@AlexanderG-l4c oh I see, thanks for correcting me there, I wasn't trying to criticise the video at all By the way, the only reason I have 3 uber / special legend slots is because they seem to work well as generalists: 1 = Lil' valkyrie cat (in place of bahamut, high damage, speed and various immunities) 2= Awakened ururun cat (longer range but still has good damage, along with chance to knockback) 3 = Almighty chronos (freezes traited enemies, switched with dark mitama if stage has many traitless enemies) My generalist loadout was as follows: Manic eraser Ramen Slime cat Cancan Kasa jizo Cyborg Lil king dragon And the last 3 units I already mentioned For reference, I have 2 star SoL beaten, currently in early UL

​After some testing I'd like to say thank you and the yt algorithm for reccomending this video, In the past I saw most special cats as bad units (besides legend specials, dark laser, lil king dragon, haniwa, etc...) because I'm so used to the general best battle cats units talked about in the community and wiki pages being rare or super rare, but I've found that talented dancer cat is surprisingly good and I'm seeing the potential in many other special cats for 4 star stages once I get enough NP for their talents! I'll be sure to upgrade kitty of liberty as its dps for its range is great although it may be limited as its only +9.​@@AlexanderG-l4c

"Those cats"? Do you mean the normals? If so then yes. But if you mean the cats in the video, then no. You can still use the information I've given and construct a general loadout yourself with what you already have.

Phonoa doesnt have an ultra form yet, anyways for starred UL I'd recommend naala/cyberpunk instead of darkt and uril trueform if you have him but I'd highly recommend just using a different loadout for every stage
