Trust me on this, golden rum, Malibu, blue Curacao, squeeze of lime, tsp of simple syrup, pineapple juice, shake on ice till frosty, strain with gate open (to keep the foam) into big clear glass filled with cracked ice, it will look like an ocean wave just crashed into your glass, garnish with pinepapple wedge, sprig of mint and cherry. Hell with this, I am gonna have one now.

I came to the same conclusion about the pineapple juice. However I use the Dole canned juice, and I just go ahead and use the clarified part, even if it is still a little yellow. However, it still doesn't turn my drink green. My drink comes out a beautiful turquoise, which I love; it looks like a tropical beach-lined lagoon. Yours came out a nice electric blue.

Yes, but a Blue Hawaii wasn't originally made with any coconut flavor. Not that it would be bad, it would just come off more like a pina colada.

It's a wine bottle opener. Fastest for a retail bar. Shove the bottle in the bottom and hold it in with your thigh. Pull the handle and it "drills" the corkscrew in to the cork, then push back and it locks out the turning mechanism and pulls the cork! Pull the handle back down and it will eject the cork. Open's a bottle every 3-4 seconds when you get used to it!!!

store bought juice is cringe man.... if throwing a party, do take the time to make your own juices with no sugar added. As a bartender who worked in a tropical bar, I must say that a lot of fruit work best as puree, pineapple is one of them, mangoes etc. the reason being that juice is mostly water and sugar, whereas puree is mostly flesh and that is where the taste comes from.
