The bridge looks fantastic and it must have been a fun project. It must be great to have a creek running through your property and it is great that you have pulled this into one video, which is a good watch. I hope your shoulder is still getting better

Ive built 3 like this on my property... I will say this, if you can avoid packing dirt next to your logs they will last much longer... Also if you take a torch and burn any point of the log that will contact the ground, and apply oil it will NEVER rot... I think either China or Japan used this method hundreds of years ago.. I think it called "Burnishing".... Also a winch and a snatch block make moving and setting the logs way easier..

All great suggestions! I have a couple more to build just need the time! Definitely will incorporate your adds. I have some winches now and a snatch block would help as well! Thanks for the great comment!

@@daveshsb If you have trees near by, a snatch block at about eye level really helps... Put the snatch block on the other side of the span and you can sit behind the log and drag it forward and up so it crosses the span very easily, and if you have extra cables and come alongs you can drag it to either side at the same time so it lands on your sleepers exactly how you want.. One thing I forgot to mention was adding a "curb" to each side... I just use a doubled up 2x4, running on the outside edges.. Just a simple way to keep you and your machine on the bridge... You will feel that "curb" and know you way to close to the edge...I have kids, and well lets face it kids do dumb shit, and I have rubber marks on my curbs to prove it, but no ones gone off the sides....yet.. lol
