A first time Shania viewer, and now big time fan. Love it when the tutors 'get straight to it.' Too many tutors talk their heads off far too much when all that's necessary is is brief intro, and the lesson. Thank you Shania. 💚

@@ShaniaShania I have a question. Is 6.8 what should be used for each hat size to find the radius? Or does it vary. Math! :/
@ShaniaShania Жыл бұрын
@@pookatoo i think you can use it to find the radius for any hat size.
@pookatoo Жыл бұрын
It might be 6.28 which is 2*pi (3.14). 6.8 was too big for me, but my head is literally kid-sized. Still, you have such a wonderful way of presenting information. 😊

Oh, one more thing, after I made my first hat this week and I stitched the lines on it, it kept going around in a circle, I'm like, I don't like that. I thought to myself that I would sew the lines on before attaching the hat and what do I find..... that's exactly what you did.....I love it 😅
@ShaniaShania7 ай бұрын
Look at that, great minds think alike! 🤗I find it kind of challenging to sew curves so i figured it would be easier to sew the row of stitches while the pattern was still flat

Why are you diving the by 6,5 ?
@ShaniaShania5 ай бұрын
i think you're talking about the 6.8 division (at 00:16) right? ...if you are, it's because i wanted to find the radius of my circle for the top of the hat, so i did this calculation : the circumference of my head divided by 2π (...2π is approximatley 6.25 but i add a bit more to it for ease). Let me know if this still doesn't make sense.
