Great idea! I've read that as bumblebees nest in rodent burrows, putting some bedding from a pet rodent in the nest will help attract the bees.

nice.. we have mostly three types of bees here.. wasps, honey bees and bumble bees once in a while. I normally have some type of flowers growing so they come and go as they want. hope you and the family are well. see you next time.

Looks good Lilly, do you have any problems with slugs or snails trying to get inside if they hide under the lid? Also do you have any updates on your slug/snail controls this year? I was looking at either copper wire electric fence, or copper mesh, I'm still undecided. Spring was really wet here so the slug/snail population is out of control in my garden 😢

I'd love a bee hotel but I'm fighting the termite hotel my house has become. They love my wood, if I ever get my hands on them their goners. There are so many I can hear them chewing away night after night.
