How to: Make a cheap wig for your dolls. Tutorial for Monster High, Ever After High & more [No glue]

Hey everybody!
Today I'll show you how to create this wig for your doll to make their hair longer and give your doll a really easy and quick make-over!
In this video I used Gooliope Jellington from Monster High, but it's also possible to use this technique on other 17 inch dolls like Disney Store dolls, big Monster High dolls, the big Ever After High dolls or the big Barbies. This might even work for regular sized dolls!

Some dolls come pre bald.. Makes it easier for wigs. U also use more hair when u leave the original hair there. Basically like the video shows. U do exactly what every other video shows. But u tie the hair so its not in the way and u have a big enough cap to cover the original hair.

I agree.. I FINALLY, after asking for Idk how long, got a 17" madeline and I wanted to make many different colored or lengthed wigs for her but I also wanted to keep her factory hair(also she was almost 30$ and I was told that if I cut her hair I would never get another doll that tall/much cost again and that if I could find an alternative to cutting hair then I could make wigs

I only used 1,5 bundles actually!! But it could have been more full, so 2 whole bundles would have fit. I think 3 will be too heavy for the doll

EshalMuhammad I definitely get your concern... I'm not completely sure if this hair would be good enough for a reroot, as it stays quite textured! I think I'd still prefer the hair from dollyhair.com!

Very very beautiful wig for Geliope! I subbed because you seem to be into the same thing as I am. I am not a hugely serious hobbyist but have quite a few MH girls and some Obitsu type BJD'S as well as a couple of resin ones. I really like playing with the hair, making clothing and wigs and experimenting with eyes and faceups. I really want a 17" MH because they're lovely. I love this wig and am going to try it and I want to do braids for my dolls to wear but am not sure how to do it for the best results on a doll...if you have any ideas please let me know!

Brilliant!! That was a very unique and cool approach to making a dolls wig. I like the fact that this method makes it so you don't have to cut/shave the dolls original hair. This is also a less messy way then using gule. Thank you so much for showing an alternative way to make a wig without cutting your dolls hair off.
