Lol red berries were my gateway sprig - tucked in a few I had left over from a project, and was amazed how that simple addition took my tree to the next level! Sprigs are so useful, as you’ve shown in many videos, and are available at all price points. I’m still using those I purchased years ago for under a dollar at Michael’s.

Oh Yippee! Truly appreciate "permission" to add the different variety of evergreen picks. With your sage advice, I will release my inner wild child! 🤗 I do take stuffing the interior of the tree a bit further. I cram as many lights in there that I can. Even a pre lit tree benefits from more lights. SO much more depth! I have a large amount of glass metallic ornaments that really throw the light, your golden layer is SPOT ON. Diamond pattern, another brilliant method. Thanks Jennifer! PS. Wear gloves when fluffing your tree, you will thank ME for that one!

I like to use rubber gloves to fluff the tree, that way my hands don’t get itchy. I also wear a long sleeve shirt to save the arms. I love to put blue/navy baubles in the centre so if you can peek through, it looks like the sky or twilight. I have a tall, skinny tree and popping the picks gives it a wider girth. This year I decided to put a little tape on the end of the lights so I know where the end is when I take them off and save my sanity!

Excellent idea having the balls in the middle! Totally doing that. I absolutely love the ribbon on the tree at the end of the video. Any chance you could share where I might purchase the same ribbon? I've been collecting unfinished wooden nutcrackers and have stained each one in a different, semi- transparent warm wood, red or green stain. Planning a sort of natural woodsy theme this year. I've just painted our mantel in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze - the ribbon would be stunning with that paint color and our nutcrackers. Thanks!

I just found an artificial 6-foot Hamilton Fur prelit tree out by the dumpster outside my apartment building, in the original box, out in the snow. I was planning on saving up to get my own 7.5-foot artificial tree but due to recent unforseen financial circumstances I won't be able to do that right now, so this discovery was timed pretty interestingly. If I do wind up keeping it, I might get those tree branch sprigs you were talking about to make it look fuller. Is there any way to hang actual ornaments from the sprigs, or are they mainly used to make a tree look fuller only?

An inexpensive trip I have used for years as an event decorator....flock small clumps of baby’s breath. You can add angel dust (ex fine white glitter if you like) Place in those bare spots. Looks great with twinkle lights. Another decorating hunk.....After Christmas, remove the Christmas bulbs but leave the lights on the tree. Add news years hats, blowers, plastic wine, champagne glasses and other party treats/favors....don’t get the tree down before Valentine’s Day....add sweet treats, faux red roses, small stuffed animals.....than......for Pete’s sake get that tree down.🎄🎄🎄
