I have to admit I'm an expert with airbrush work, even taught airbrush techniques in the 70's part time at Uni night classes (while in the Army) and after moving to Australia (As an art teacher) I taught it till around 2008 or 9 ... My painted art work uses everything(!) ... but I do a lot of company work in vectors. I have also painted similar projects for companies and my only issues is the lack of movement in the water. I would show students how to dilute black and blue mix with binder and gently dust through the letter reflections Creating movement. Torn "News-Print Paper" held very loosely over the surface reflections, with say 14 psi pressure also works... I'm not sure how you could translate that into a vector or adobe style software... just a thought you might come up with something???
