Thank you for this as it got me going. I’ve been wanting to make a bag for my hexies. I’m giving myself a year to see if I can make enough flowers for a quilt for my bed. Today I finally made myself a gorgeous bag. I made it a little differently to yours, but it is still a round drawstring pouch and it is just perfect for my hexies. I love it and now I want to make more because I love it so much. You inspired me.

Hi from Texas 👋🏻 I saw a bag like this for sale on QVC. It was quite a bit of $. I like the idea of seeing all your makeup at once. Thanks for the tutorial. I think I’m going to make a few for Christmas presents. They would be great for packing things when you go on a trip too. I always have odds & ends that seem to be loose in my suitcase.

Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial! I’m planning to use different fabric and use it to make bags to use as a strainer to make nut milk. I don’t want to have one that has seams and this pattern seems perfect for it! 🙂

You could have a row of them hung along a shelf keeping all your odds and ends tidy and easy to open out when you need them. 👍❤

I made 4 of them when Claire from Beautiful Things introduced them. She put an additional flap over the top as well. I LOVE them and use them for makeup when I’m traveling. I used parachute cord!

A good idea for evening bags, lunch bags etc. I have rather a lot of fat quarters so now I have an idea of what to do with them. FYI I'm reading your (and Dad's) book, fascinating!

Thanks I have been thinking of making those bags, but was going to line it with shower curtain material, so the make spills can easily be cleaned, and washed in the machine. 👌

That's a good idea Jayne. Recently spilled foundation cream in my bag and it didn't half make a mess. It amazed me that it seemed to be almost like paint! 👍😀❤😂

Great tutorial, I'm guessing if you only put the cord round once and pull it from one side you won't have as much cord to tidy up!!!

That's true but it won't pull as easily. Worth trying though and if it doesn't work you can always add the second cord. 👍❤

This is perfect as the holidays are coming so that if you do have the leg go lovers they can have them confined they really hurt when you step on them barefooted!

They certainly do hurt. And yes a large lego bag is a great idea for Mummy and Daddy to restrict how far they spread whilst they visit Granny and Grandad. :-) x

I haven't made these bags but, I have non stick fry pans, that were always getting scratched and ruined. I blamed it on my kids for years and years , but I had new ones living alone, and they were getting scratched and ruined as well. So, I began investigating what was happening. I discovered the scratching culprit. Stacking my frying pans, they were scratching each other. So I took pieces of fat quarters, two each, and a bit of soft batting I had on hand. Sewed the circle, turned right side out. Sewed a 1/4 inch all around outside, "Bob's yer Uncle" and now my new non stick fry pans, aren't attacking one another, as I place the pads between them now. Could use cardboard as well.

I belive they did. I have recall of finding a couple in my granny's house when we were clearing it out after she died. They weren't as colourful but I remember one being balck velvet with black beads on the ends of the cord and the other was a chain mail effect. Now whatever happened to them. I doubt my mother would have thrown them out but I did have an older sister who always managed to claim them before I could. Chuckle Big sister blues. 🤣😂🤣😍
