How to make a CNC Router Spoil Board (Fusion 360 Tutorial)

I replaced my old 5/8" MDF (non-flattened) spoil board with a 3/4" MDF board with evenly spaced holes for securing the board to the CNC, which were cut on the CNC itself for repeatability when I need to change out the board.

Hey, awesome video. One question though: for those of us creating our inaugural spoilboard, how do we make sure the origin point of the file lines up with the same point at the bottom left of the spoilboard exactly? Also, do you affix the uncut spoilboard to the baseboard with tape or something to keep it from moving during the boring process? Or, is the kickback from the bore not enough to worry about this?

How did you hold down the new spoil board while drilling the holes? I didn't see any screws holding it down.

hey amazing work. very informative. Thanks for the video. Just One doubt, there are parallel lines visible on your spoilboard post surfacing. I tried cutting too and am also getting the same issue. Any tips on how to solve that?

It means the spindle isnt 100% trammed true.

Do you think it is also possible to make something with clamps or vacuum blocks?

Sure. Not worth it to me though. Way to easy and fast to just throw some screws in the corners.
