found you channel today and subscribed, as the name implies, I gather scrap metal and have a nice pile of copper wire and tubing, I have a furnace to melt the copper and am gathering tools to start making jewelry, I recently got a rolling mill so I can soon make my own wire from scrap copper, I think it will be nice going from trash to treasure. I have watched about 4 of your videos so far and plan to watch more and learn, ran out of room in my workshop so I got a fifth wheel trailer to set up my jewelry workshop. you do great work and I like the look of your jewelry, I want to make up a bunch and sell at the local farmers market this summer. thanks for the videos

Yeah I would definitely clamp the bracelet down when you're using the dermal, or use two hands for better control. You can see your rpm are too high. Other then that looks pretty sweet

Ebay has one similar antique clamp tool used and very pricy, and other similar ones but too large. Locking pliers will do the job. 😁

I've done this. Chuck the ends of the copper wire into an electric drill and do the same thing in about 3 seconds.

I make copper and silver bracelets myself using my Dremel, but some folk may not have access to an electric drill so it’s nice for them to see it can be done without it.
@Lacomo1

Fastest and best way to make a bracelet is put one end of your wire in a vice or you could even use Vice Grips. Then put the other end in a drill and slowly twist to desired tightness. Do this way and you don't need to heat it at all.
@catzkeet4860
@catzkeet4860 2 жыл бұрын
You may still need to anneal. If you try that with hardened wire it’ll break. Annealing will also make it MUCH easier as it’ll reduce the “spring” in the metal.
