I just made one, took me about 20 minutes. (I had already bought the supplies) Turned out great, thanks for the clear and easy to follow directions! I used some thin nylon builders twine to attach a pair of tiny clips to hang it from the back of my pack for if I want to start a meal and walk on a little further. Just sandwiched the twine under the tape.

Glad to hear you liked the video and instructions given 👍🏻🙂 and adding a strap for a clip is a nice feature and a great add on 👍🏻 I always eat like the minute it’s ready 🤷🏼‍♂️😄

Nice video. Reflectix is a little more durable but more bulky. You can also use the HVAC silver metal tape.

Yes there is better alternatives but I kind of went for the cheapest and best available material I could find! Except the tape…that was kind of expensive 😄 but good!

If you can only get material like yours it makes far more sense to put the reflective material on the inside or if you want it to be reflective on the inside and outside you simply need touse double the amount of materia and fold it over.

I totally agree but, facing the softer material outward would make it pretty fragile and since it worked perfectly anyways I choose to have the reflective on the outside. Also tried to fold it double and that worked to, but double the weight! And for no reason (with this material) since the insulating properties was ok anyways.

Ahhhhhhh! Kul video!!!

@roberthammenrudh

Why put the reflective material on the outside?
@roberthammenrudh
@roberthammenrudh Жыл бұрын
Basically because it’s only on one side and it will make it last longer. On the inside there is a soft insulating material so it works just fine 🙂👍🏻 preferred choice would be to find a “as light material” with reflective on both sides but 🤷🏼‍♂️ couldn’t find it! Worked out perfect anyways and, super light! Keeps the food warm for a loooooooooooong time 😄

Not sure what kind of black magic you are using - i copied your setup and ended up at roughly 30g 😆

Hmm… strange! Probably not the same material then! Bough mine at “Biltema” 🤷🏼‍♂️ weight in my episode is correct. Or you used more tape than me?

Update: The Biltema one basically has no scent at all, so for the swedes - stay away from the nasty Jula one and get the Biltema one :D
