Do these traps catch other insects besides cucumber & Japanese beetles? Just don't want to catch beneficials such as lady beetles, bees, etc.Thanks!

I have seen a beneficial or two. It's hard to prevent that totally. Other traps I have tried seem to do the same. I think to totally prevent the harm of beneficials you would need to hand pick the beetles. With the amount of cucumber beetles I see attaching my plants, day in and day out, it's very difficult. When it comes to pest control, it's very hard to not also harm a few beneficial insects, so this may not be for everyone. I use to try and pick the cucumber beetles off by hand, but that was just to hard for me to keep up with and they would destroy my plants. I don't like to use pesticides either, because those can also kill beneficial insects and I like to keep an organic garden. Thanks for watching. 🙂

Yes, several cucumber beetles but I never saw any vine borers.

👍Yes, give it a try, and tell me how it goes. Although, cabbage worms or worms/caterpillars are usually the problem when it comes to seeing damage on your cabbages, but who knows. It doesn't hurt to try and see what happens. 😁

Sadly, I tried this the other day and found seven dead bees... nothing else, just the bees. They are also attracted to the yellow. 😞

🤣 They resemble the big yellow blossoms/flowers on the plants. Cucumber beetles are attracted to the yellow color.

I have not yet seen bees or ladybugs, but I'm sure it could happen. I have found it's very difficult to do any type of pest control and not kill some beneficial insects. Of course, I don't want that to happen, but it's really hard to totally prevent it from happening. Picking them off by hand one by one is truly the only way, but I find there is just too many in my garden to do that method. But if anyone knows other ways or better ways to kill cucumber beetles, I would love to heard about it. Thanks so much for watching. Have a wonderful day. 🙂
