Excellent work! Love the newer generational thinking. I used to criticize the younger generation until I realized how many good ideas they had when it came to solving a problem such as global warming & the state of disrepair we've left behind for others to clean up and fix. For every 1 positive good comment you receive will generally be followed up with 9 negative. Unfortunately, it's human nature and very comfortable to criticize when compared to praising someone as it's far easier and satisfying to criticize one's work instead of doing what's right, and saying nothing at all unless it's constructive criticism or praise. You mentioned that you were suggested only using the cardboard template, covered with gold tape, to which you replied "oh no that's the old me". I believe the viewer was suggesting to only use the cardboard template, cut out, covered with gold tape in order to decrease the overall weight of your vehicle given the fact that your goal is an increased and horsepower or better said to lessen the loss of potential energy your engine can produce. Using cardboard you would greatly cut down on added weight within the engine department while saving some money and time as well. Try to look at ones comments from a viewers, perspective or someone else's perspective in order to better understand where they may be coming from in order to not miss a message being relayed to you. we often misinterpret text messages or comments that we read not being able to I understand someone's intent through words alone when compared to in person. Try to clear your head and maintain an open mind prior to reading your messages in order to not unintentionally misunderstand due to how you're feeling at that moment. If you're in a shitty mood, almost every message will appear to be negative because you may feel someone is being sarcastic when they're actually giving you positive feedback. Try to give someone the benefit of the doubt to the best of your ability. I may not be as creative as I used to be when I was younger? However I still have many lessons to be taught through many of life's lessons that I've learned from after many many mistakes & far less successes. Thank you fur the great ideas that I will be applying to my RAM 1500 in order to maximize potential energy by maximizing efficiencies within the engine compartment.

Looks great, but to service the filter, I guess you've got to cut out the sealant & re-seal it each time?
@joeblack007 Жыл бұрын
How often do you service the filter? Once a year, if that is not going to kill him. You have people installing their stock cats every year just to pass inspection.

Great channel.. How is the air being scooped?
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
I did fail to mention that didn’t I. There is a induction hose that forces the air from the front bumper up and channels it
@hondatriple63 жыл бұрын
@@TexasHondaChannel that hose would be very informative. I figured the only way was through headlight. I have hose on RSX stock air box dangling into lower front bumper.

It keeps intake temps lower if there is any gains it will be low numbers like 2-3whp the only way to really measure that is to simulate driving conditions on the Dyno with hood shut without the heat shield installed then do a pull. Then put the heat shield on and do the same exact test and see what numbers it says but i don’t wanna do all that to see a maybe 2hp gain. I can tell it has helped already though my intake temps aren’t as high as before when driving. I datalogged previous intake temps and they are significantly lower now :)
@IcyPwnage94 Жыл бұрын
Just came across this video and intend on doing this as a next weekend project for my Prelude. Your guide seems very straightforward to follow! Do you think it might be necessary to block off the area directly underneath the intake tube? Perhaps using a smaller separate piece of aluminum that would get bolted in before the intake is put into place?
@Fenix666873 жыл бұрын
little advise. put resin tube cut along around the filter area. engine moves and vibrates. so filter will be damaged most importantly filter holder
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
Engine don't move anymore. Watch my latest dyno video but i did leave some small gap for the movement. These solid mounts don't let the engine move now though. Compare the latest dyno video to the previous you will see what i mean lol

@@TexasHondaChannel oh, ok. Fight back) it's going to seal it))) just kidding. It will be hard to seal it
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
Yea for it to be 100% air tight seall all around i would have to make a box that just slides into the car as 1 unit then hook it up but yea i need to get some window sealer press it on around there to keep it from cutting into it. Either way so far its holding up and i put a good 60 miles on since i recorded this video :D

Whatever did happen to the supercharged pilot?
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
You must not have been watching all the videos. It happens hard to keep up with me some times. Sold it and did a video explaining my wife wanted a mdx. The deal was I supercharged the pilot and in exchange once I had my fun we sell it to get a mdx and we did just that. The new owners of the pilots love it and stay in contact with me.

@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
This gold tape works great i have used it a lot in the past to keep my a/c system cooler when i was turbo.
@lazarodelgado2763 жыл бұрын
Awesome video. Are you planning on installing a tranny cooler and intercooler for the supercharger?
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
It’s a manual transmission so no transmission cooler is needed. The intercooler isn’t a option for this supercharged setup. If it gets anything it will be water meth injection to keep intake temps down.
