Awesome! Only thing I wasn't sure of is how they would hold up to moisture because there's no telling what kind of glue was used at the factory. I gave these away so I'm not sure how the faired. Thanks for checking it out!

@@WayWoodworking Thank you! I'll probably just use them for decoration anyway. lol

Wow, what a beautiful piece of wood from that table. That cutting board will last forever son. I personally love the lighter colors of wood and stains. It’s sad the table had to be cut up but you will have leftover wood to do many projects for sure. Great job son and so great to see another video from you. The music was very fitting too. Tonight at 7 CST Russ Clarity has a live chat and a whole bunch of us log on to the chat part of it and we have a blast. If your free come and check it out for awhile. It last for a couple of hours but stay as long as you want. There are special guests there that show they’re specialties and questions are asked and it is just a nice time. So, if your interested come on by. Take care son and a wonderful job on the cutting board.

The Wood Yogi Thank you! Did you catch the hand tool action??! I'm sure you'd say that was great technique and my blade was spot on sharp! 😄

I did and it was well done 😉 Hand tools are essentially therapeutic devices that should be prescribed to everyone 😁

The Wood Yogi I think your right as long as they are set up well. I have some old planes that drive me crazy. I can't get that beautiful long shaving and that awesome sound when it's perfect. But I haven't tried too hard to get it right either.

Check out Mitch Peacock and Plane Collector channels if you haven't already :) They have great information on setting up planes. I look forward to seeing the video were you have it right. You will never want to put them down again :D

The Wood Yogi I bet. Especially the larger planes for flattening a larger board. I'd enjoy that. But really I'd love to joint the edge of a board without making it more out of square like I do everytime I try!

Wow I just tossed a table to the curb ,I could have done this . How long does a project like this take and can you do this with particle board or pressed wood?
@WayWoodworking6 жыл бұрын
Particle board would not work. It will swell up when it gets wet. Only solid wood. Thanks for watching!
