I’m back in Logic! What do you guys think of the beat? It’s not quite Dancehall, nor would I call it “Tropical House” but it’s definitely inspired by Dancehall. Also what are your thoughts on NKS? What 3rd party Kontakt instruments would you like to see using the Native Kontrol Standard?

@velanche6 жыл бұрын
I have an S49 MK2 as you know, and I'm way more likely to use instruments with NKS support than not; it's a compellingly time-saving feature. One saving grace for instruments that don't have NKS support is on online site called Freelance Soundlab that sells NKS packs for unsupported instruments such as the Spectrasonics (Omnisphere 2, Trillian, Stylus) and AIR Music (Hybrid3, !Xpand2, Vacuum Pro, etc.); for the price, seems the author put loads of time in; has everything from tags to graphics that looks great to sound samples. I ended up getting the Omnisphere 2 one, and a few more because of that. Worth checking out, IMO. BTW, great vid Stefan; looking forward to more Logic, Maschine and KK-centric vids from you! Peace.
@stefanguy6 жыл бұрын
Hey Velanche! That sounds dope, I think you or someone else may have mentioned it to me before but I failed to check it out. It would certainly dope to have all of those synths talking with Komplete Kontrol! I'm going to check it out today

Great video as always! Can you please do a video on HalfTime, I mainly want to know how I can use the effect on different instruments instead of having to put the effect on each of my instruments. Is there also a way that I can trigger the effect to work for like 4 bars at the start and then turning it off automatically for the rest of the beat?
@stefanguy6 жыл бұрын
Hey man, firstly thanks! And secondly it's most definitely possible. If you want it to effect multiple instruments simply send the output of said instruments to a bus. Bus 30 for example. This will create an Aux channel with the input Bus 30. You can put Halftime on this Aux channel and then right click the channel and select create track. This will add this channel to the arrange window. This will then allow you to automate the plugins on this channel. Press A for automation and where it says volume change it to correspond with the Halftime plug and you'll see a whole bunch of things you can automate including Bypass which will allow you to turn it on and off at different points in the song. I'm planning to do a video soon hopefully but I hope this helps.
