A month late on learning this one, happy I got one more on my plate for this week and the next, usually love setting the tone with these, excellent content per usual. Btw british girl group just dropped what I think is the best Rnb album of 2024 and I know it’s some fire chords and bridges in there (subtle suggestion lol). Appreciate you always.

Nice simple breakdown once again. The use of the keyboard graphic is a good choice, as it clearly highlights the changes, especially in the use of those great sus chords. 😉

Amazing, I have such a hard time writing bass lines. I have a question though - when you switch between 2 - 5 - 1s, how do you know which ones you should use? Let's say I have a song in D minor, can I choose the landing note (1) to be any note from that scale?

I'd like to hear you playing the harp.. or just hook a brova up with a 8 bar loop.. That Stefan Guy, London.. I said your name in my joint.. lol.. I learned a lot from you bro. That's correct. I created a free tool called Pitch MOD that mimics this effect in Logic if you use Logic. sguy.co/pitch-mod - However if you watch the video on the page, you'll see you can easily recreate it yourself also if you don't want to download it.

stefan you do really good work but its sad that you don't use these type of software that let people see in live what keys you're pushing. For beginnner like me it's reaaly to get confuse , please add one

Hey thanks for the feedback. I've received a few comments like this so I'm considering. Generally I've never liked the way it looks and this has never been a fully fledge keyboard channel, more so a beat making channel teaching some theory. So I didn’t really want that asthetic. And opted to create printable chord sheets instead. But what’s most important is helping the viewer so I’ll try get it sorted for the next video then see what the feedback is. I imagine everyone would prefer it lol. I don’t have trouble seeing the keys, or what another musician is playing but I have to remember to put myself in the shoes of someone starting out. Thanks for the reminder and helping to improve the videos!

So I could buy the mikro mk3 without the software? I have a macbook pro and logic pro . If so that's great news because i have seen plenty on ebay at a very low cost without the software. Are the licenses essential? Sorry I know noob question but that's exactly what I am 😂.
@FredGreenGB
@FredGreenGB Ай бұрын
Hi there . I am completely new to logic and I'd like to use a drum pad with it rather than a midi keyboard. Would you recommend the full version or would the mikro MK3 be sufficient for a newbie . I do have some producing knowledge as I made tracks back in the early 2000s with reason on pc . I will also be pairing a pioneer ddj flx4 as I have a 2015 MacBook pro with logic x . I just need some tips which gear to get . Also the software is a bit of a mine field 🤯. Do I need komplete kontrol? Or does it come with software? Thanks in advance and yeah soz for the barrage of questions lol . I have subbed and liked the channel . Cheers 👊

That's the benefit of a having a bass player in the room. I just made this for KZbin, conceptually it's just a demo. But if I end up doing more with it, I'll definitely get a bass player and guitarist to play and expand on my ideas here for sure! Thanks for the feedback. Do you play?

This video seems to be old but maybe you can actually help me. I done same things that you does but I got only sound when the Maschine isn't in Midi Mode. Do you know this ?
@stefanguy
@stefanguy Ай бұрын
Make sure you're selecting the right "Pad Page" when you're in MIDI mode. This seems to be the step often missed. I can't remember if I say in the video or not. I believe you should have pad page C selected. Press and hold the group button and hit the pad labelled C whilst in MIDI mode. If C doesn't work, hit pad D. Basically you need you first pad to fire C1 for most drums, samplers etc. I hope this helps.
