@@cashstith4935 I don’t remember off the top of my head. I have a separate video showing how I customized the platform and have that info in the video.

@CamberFitness God bless her. I'm happy that she is following your footprints and she's not like other kids sitting at home, watching TV playing games. She will become stronger

@@CamberFitness how’s it holding up after 10 months? Would you have done anything different?
@CamberFitness4 ай бұрын
@hospitaladministrator3359 it’s working great! It has scuff marks from weights/shoes/etc, but the finish still holds and no slip on my shoes. I’ve done many high rep sets in the mid 300s and some singles up to 475 lbs with no issues.

Great job Izzie! I love the hand prints. Nice work! Birchwood is a nice choice.

Thx! I was really happy with how it turned out. And it’s still going strong with dropping nearly 500 lbs on it.
@Kennysvgp093 ай бұрын
Thanks for this guide! I love the hands idea, I’ll probably do it when my kids are older. With the polyurethane, do you find your feet slip during bench press? That’s my only concern
@CamberFitness3 ай бұрын
It depends on the type of shoes you use I suppose. I use the Notorius Lift Radix shoes, and they’ve never slipped. The grip is pretty amazing actually. They squeak like on a basketball court.

Great job, Izzie! It turned out great. How has it held up since you’ve been using it a while? Any tweaks you’d make with hindsight?
@CamberFitness7 ай бұрын
👍 Nope! Still working great even after slamming 400+ lbs on it for 6 months.
@kennethcouture3428 Жыл бұрын
How do you find the grip of the polyurethane?
@CamberFitness Жыл бұрын
It works great! I have to make sure I keep it clean for optimum stick though. Being in the garage with kids, it tends to get dirt and stuff on it so I typically wipe it off and dry it before deadlifts.
@JskaAjao7 ай бұрын
Instead of the middle part being wood can we make it fully horse mats?
@CamberFitness7 ай бұрын
Sure. It’d probably end up being a bit more expensive though.
@davorzdralo80007 ай бұрын
You can, but the whole point of the platform is to have a solid surface where you stand while lifting. That's why they are made of wood, even in commercial gyms where everything else is rubber.
@CamberFitness7 ай бұрын
@davorzdralo8000 good call!
@Robert-jk7qk3 ай бұрын
It would be fine. I powerlift and a lot of rogue platforms only used the mats. And at meets they only use matts. The rubber doesn't slip.
@CamberFitness3 ай бұрын
@Robert-jk7qk good point! Just doesn’t look as pretty. 😂
@3percent2479 күн бұрын
Looks good but lots of chemicals in those Matts being released
@CamberFitness9 күн бұрын
It’s in a well ventilated garage so I’m not worried.
@Smcdaniel677 күн бұрын
Prolly does more for your argument to talk about what chemicals and how they’re going to affect, just saying that generic scary term makes you sound like the fun police
