A Question on Beaded Sheets Printed Fabric Templates
@VoxelWorks3D18 күн бұрын
Good work!
@Ninetiesfinest2 ай бұрын
Is there any way you could make a fabric template in two pieces on 8.5x11 paper? I don't have a printer that prints poster size but I would love to make this! I tried opening the file in Word and Adobe Acrobat but it's not letting me :(
@CaptainCosplayАй бұрын
If you can get it to open in Adobe Acrobat, all that poster setting does is break the larger image into printable sheets. It doesn’t have to be one big print.
@elannacwrites5133Ай бұрын
do you have a link for the fabric/remember where you got it? would love to get this fabric for my own deadpool build
@ieatricemc144 ай бұрын
do you think it'd be possible to do like a 3/4, where the shell goes down to the jaw, but don't cover the mouth? that way it avoids the extremely prominent cheekbones?
@ieatricemc144 ай бұрын
similar to Batman's cowl, minus the chin strap, that way you can still see your mouth moving
@CaptainCosplay4 ай бұрын
Possibly! You’d still run the risk of the fabric stretching over that edge and revealing the line. It seems to simply be a challenge of using EVA foam, but the only way to find out would be to try it!

Where did you get the fabric?

My guess is jo-Anne’s or hobby lobby. They have pretty much all of your fabric needs
@madl0wАй бұрын
Did you use a heat gun for this? I know the original tutorial does but I don’t have one and wanted to know if it’s necessary to use one
@CaptainCosplayАй бұрын
If you want your shell to have a rounded look, then yes, you’ll need a heat gun.
@madl0wАй бұрын
Another question, what do you mean by giving it a quarter inch seam allowance but sewing as if it’s a half inch?
@madl0wАй бұрын
Sorry to bombard you with questions, I’m new to sewing 😅 how many yards of fabric do I need for this?
@CaptainCosplayАй бұрын
A half yard should be enough fabric for just the mask.
@CaptainCosplayАй бұрын
I added a quarter inch to the pattern when I cut it, but when I was sewing it, the seam was half an inch from the edge.
@EMm_flib5 ай бұрын
Awesome video and super creative to build off of someone else's template like this! Do the seams have to be double top stitches or do you think it would work just with the first zigzag stitch?
@CaptainCosplay5 ай бұрын
The regular zigzag stitch will definitely still work, but you’ll have to figure out what to do with the seam allowance, as it may show through when stretched over the shell.

hola , una ultima consulta en que porcentaje lo imprimo ya que es una sola hoja , al 100% ?? . gracias
@CaptainCosplay6 ай бұрын
You’ll want to print it in Poster mode, so that it breaks up into multiple sheets when printed. 100% fits my head (24 inches) plus the face shell on top.
@Albertgodoy-qy5fh2 ай бұрын
bn video,de casualidad tiene las plantillas para que se puedan imprimir en hojas separadas y no tipo poster
@CaptainCosplay2 ай бұрын
Even in poster mode it will print as separate sheets, you’ll just have to tape the pages together! Unfortunately the pattern pieces aren’t small enough to fit on individual pages.

wait so do i print the halfshell template 5% smaller or normal size?
@CaptainCosplay3 ай бұрын
It’s dependent on your head measurement, and how you would scale the pattern based on Greg’s recommendations (included with the template). So if his guidelines recommend 100% for your head size, I would print it at 95% to make a half shell. My head is 24 inches, and I used 105% for the full, and normal (100%) for the half.

@CaptainCosplay3 ай бұрын
Greg’s template includes a guide for sizing, and you can follow my recommendation about shrinking it by 5% for the half shell. Simply match the scale of the fabric pattern to the scale you choose for the foam pattern.
