Since that can't happen this year, we thought we'd bring the recipe to you so you can make it at home!
We also compiled a playlist of some great new music from Scotland, featuring all the acts who were due to play Wide Days and TGE in 2020.

I'm Aussie, and the first thing I say when I see this is wow. Scotland is a very unique place. a Mars bar deep fried sounds kind of nice, though it also sounds kind of weird. Each to their own I guess. Keep it up!

I'm Aussie and I'm surprised that more people don't know about it! Growing up I would have them all the time same with my mum and her mum lol! They're amazing some fish and chip shops in Victoria sell them just not many!

IT failed; too grainy 2nd attempt to be with corn flour in the batter mix. IT was ultrasweet.

yup. I want to see a method that can coat the bar without batter holes. if you can coat the bar without any holes in the batter it will not leak

I found a great really simple batter recipe. SR flour & sparkling water, that’s it. No need to even measure, just whisk until it’s the consistency of single cream or double cream if you want it slightly thicker. I do onion rings, halloumi mushrooms, mars bars etc with this batter & I just add salt & pepper if it’s for savoury food.
