When using boxed cake mix I sub different ingredients and it tastes SO much better. If the box mix calls for oil I sub for melted butter (use double the amount called for). If it calls for water I use milk instead (same amount called for). If the box mix calls for eggs I use 1-2 extra eggs then what the box calls for. Always ends up tasting more homemade.

I’ve made this for years. I’m 67 years young . My mama gave me a lick of cake batter cookie batter she said before I even had teeth . Lol mama always used the end of a round wooden spoon . She had one with a skinny handle . That’s what I use now. No telling how old that spoon is .i know that cake is awsome❤️🙋‍♀️

This cake looks awesome. I, too, love sweetened condensed milk. Have you seen the recipe for "buttercream" frosting using sweetened condensed milk? It's just 1 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup vegetable shortening, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, and 2 tsp vanilla. Just cream the fats and add the milk and vanilla and whip it all up. It's simple and delicious with a very velvety mouthfeel.

I used to do the oil and flour to prevent things from sticking but, now I use bakers Joy. You need the paddle attachment. Boy oh boy sure looks good.

Hello Gina, Well, I'm back too, lol! And I did it again, I made another one of your great creations. It is soo good, I have it now in my refrigerator and I can't believe it is lasting this long, lol. I'm only allowed one slice a day, lol. It is moist as the other cake as well, and the flavor from the butterfingers is delicious! I did mix the Butterfinger crumbs into the batter and I added a layer of it in the middle of the cake, so we have a crunch throughout the cake. Thanks again! P.S. However, I will say that if Butterfingers are not entirely a favorite then this is not the cake for you.
