I love me some porridge. I add butter as well it gives it a rich texture. I also add coconut milk in mine. You’re kids are just the cutest. 😍 They gave a whole speech for that porridge. Lol

This video is engraved in my head. Best video to learn how to make it! I don’t add nutmeg or almond extract. I add sugar and cinnamon on top when done. Such a great comfort breakfast !

Made this today and it was delicious. I used Quaker corn meal because it was all I could find. I have a feeling it will be even better with the Goya once I can find it.

Hey Helena!! Thank you for this, I am going to try to make it with Coconut Milk and Almond Milk half of each. I have been trying to compile your recipes to have variety of meals to make for my Mom who is Jamaican. I loved it when she made this and this seems much easier to do, have most of the ingredients will do this for tomorrow's breakfast and give another go on making fried dumplings, they were too hard this morning...🤦🏿♀️😓

Just made this after seeing it on Instagram. So yummy. I didn’t have almond essence so I opted to make it with almond milk. Besides what it called for I added extra vanilla extract, some butter, and cinnamon. Yummy!! This is a keeper.

Generally porridge isn’t healthy😂. However you make it sugar is the main ingredient. Preferably I love the Jamaican style. Which includes water, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract and both coconut and condensed milk. They really pack the flavor and is super creamy and rich.

Some Jamaicans use 4-5 drops of rose water insead of almond extract. Be careful because rose wayer is cery strong. Better to under do it. Also, we boil cinnamon stick in the milk.

Still follow the recipe, make it, then blend in a blender for like 15-20 seconds. That’ll make it nice & smooth.
