How To Make A Delicious Metemgee With Salt Fish Guyanese Style
Metemgee is a Guyanese Dish made of meat or salt fish, and dumplings/duff with coconut milk, cassava, yam, Eddoes and Ripe plantains
Ingredients
2 lb salt-fish
8 cups coconut milk ( 4 coconut )
5 yam, peeled, and cut into large chunks
5 eddoes peeled, and cut into large chunks
6 ripe plantain, and cut into large chunks
3 large cassave/yuca peeled and cut into large chunks
1 bundle fresh thyme
2 habanero pepper
1 onion chopped
1 bundle scallion
1 handful parsley
6 cloves garlic ( chopped )
For The Dumplings/Duff
3 cups flour
1 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup Water
