Nick Ferry I go there (I'll be a senior next year). I was there to pick up my sister from the speed and strength stuff. Last year I took the intro shop class and that's what got me started in the whole woodworking thing and I'm going to take Construction 1 next year.

I like the design with the cutout before the glue up, sure would make things easier. The leg detail trick with folding the cardboard is great too. I would say that with my golden retrievers they have caused some serious racking, pulling out screws from 3/4" plywood over several years use. I'll have to try out solid wood and your leg pattern trick for the next one.

Just found this, I had recently built a bowl holder for my cat, actually for me, as it has become more difficult for me to reach the floor. Raising the bowls off the floor made it easier for me to reach them to keep the bowls clean.

Great video Nick. I made one for Rocky years ago and he loves it. It's supposed to be better for the dog's digestion to have their food elevated to the right height so the food doesn't have to go uphill.

Lovely bowl stand Nick, my only worry would be the name plate, it looks as if the point sticks out beyond the stand, which might cause a problem for that lovely looking Pup, but it might just have been the angle of the camera!

Can i ask what kind of pen you used for the cardboard for the decorative ends? i've seen others use that and it looks like it'd be easier for sketching/tracing than a normal pen/pencil

Do these things keep the dog from deciding that no, my dish shall be OVER THERE before I start taking the food out and eating it off the floor, 10 minutes after sniffing at it and then walking away and then coming back for it? Because that would be nice.

krtwood Funny you mention that, my dog does just that. No matter where her dish is, she grabs and hauls it to some other place and proceeds to eat it after dropping it to the floor. Gotta love dogs... :)
