You COULD Use a few dowels or biscuits to keep them in line?
@NickFerry27 күн бұрын
You could, but I mentioned that sometimes you don’t know the final links on things so you can’t put that stuff near the end if you’re gonna have an exposed end - this also just saves the step and the tooling needed

VERY nice job ... I'm going to build your miter-insert to add to my existing sled, which already looks very similar -- but, a question: are the T-tracks on the miter fence for stop-blocks? -- because I can't see using them for any kind of "clamp" ... thanks!
@NickFerry3 ай бұрын
Thanks - I utilize it in one of the jigs I’ve yet to show but it also works for stop blocks as seen in this video - Ⓕ How To Make A Shadow Box (ep59) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHfbg3ygpq-DosU

Why are you stacking them horizontally, either needing a shelf for each one, or having to lift off the ones above? Stack them vertically, and you lose the shelves and gain the space. Hinges down, and they fit deeper but narrower (usually better space management in a workshop)- and you have the side of the box to attach your labels!
