If you take 2 contrasting charm squares A & B, mark your desired line, cut and insert a 1” strip of C and then D fabric to each (bias if you prefer) then reattach the other corners you cut off, you’re back to 2 x5” with the same pattern effect as this stitch and flip. Saves you “wasting” the corners

That's hilarious, you losing the frixion pen markings!! I just did the same thing on Heat and Bond. I'm doing a little applique and drew my pattern on the Heat and Bond. Then I pressed the Heat and Bond onto my fabric, not paying attention, and walked away from the ironing board. When I came back the pattern was gone. Took me at least 15 minutes to figure out I hadn't pressed a blank piece of fusible to my fabric. LOL I'm still laughing at myself.

Yup, you have to be on the ball and sometimes I'm not. Isn't it frustrating when you can't figure out what happened? Time to stop stitching then ;)
