honestly the girl being taped is really brave for participating in this video and letting the whole world see her exact body shape, this whole process seems really personal. All body types are beautiful in their own way I think ppl with a bit of chub look like hugable marshmallows which as someone who likes hugs thinks is a nice feature to have Me personally I've lived my life being a bit underweight (totally healthy but as a kid you could see my ribs. How that works idk). wasn't until recently that my weight finally averaged out but still pretty 'boney' (fun fact: I weighed 80lbs in middle school and had a friend who called me boney shoulder XD)

Disclaimer: You can be a member of the furry fandom without a fursuit. Also, before you say "I'll never have a fursuit," I'd like to share my story. I made my first fursuit way back in 2008, when I was 17. It was a partial and a slightly cursed trainwreck but I loved him dearly until he fell apart and I learned a lot from the whole process. Fast forward 10 years, I put myself in considerable debt by earning a BFA with a focus in sculpture and a minor in design and tech theater. By 2021, I'd also earned a master's degree in childhood education. In 2022, I got hired as an art teacher and was able to stabilize my income and bills within 18 months. I just turned 33 and bought almost all the supplies needed to build my first full fursuit. KZbin has been my go-to resource in learning how to navigate costume construction since 2014. If I could do it for under $50 and without good youtube tutorials way back in 2008, I believe y'all can do whatever you set your mind to. Happy crafting!!

Especially having been stiff for so long and then you feel the vibrating throughout the cast it's so freaky I remember it being a huge relief and disappointment all at once No more sweating or itchiness or worrying about it getting wet But you arm literally cannot move except like half a centimeter

Good video, may I suggest to eventually invest in a pair of scissors that emts/medics use? They aren't expensive and have rounded tips and are designed for cutting clothing etc off of patients

To anyone planning on making a duct tape dummy: if you have issues with blood pressure PLEASE be careful while doing this! Took me and my boyfriend two hours to make mine and I got lightheaded multiple times and almost fainted twice 😭 Make sure to drink plenty of water and have someone feed you snacks (and maybe don't stand on hard floors,,, my feet hated me after this lmao). Very helpful tutorial! Can't wait to start working on my fursuit ❤️

For cutting, I recommend medical safety scissors/trauma shears. they're made to cut flush with a body to remove clothes, rope, tape exc without the risk of cutting into the person.

I've done this twice now, still waiting for something to show for the effort. The second time was much worse. I wound up overheating and my legs started giving out. Both were double layered. If you have bandage scissors, it makes cutting the DTD off much easier.

As a fursuit maker I think I’d rather just do them built from leggings and under armor 😂 (Edit: I only make suits for myself, but if I ever did commissions I probably wouldn’t make fullbodies.)

A painter suit costs like 6$, an UA long-sleeved shirt and leggings cost as least 24$ (12$ each), that's a BIG difference for something you're just gonna cut up.

I've seen people use clothing for making fullsuits ^^ (example, leggings are used as a base and you add foam on with hot glue, then fur)
