How To Make A Fabric Heart Collage Necklace From Upcycled Items

In this DIY upcycling video, we will be making a beautiful and romantic long statement necklace. We will be using scraps of fabric, lace, beads and other found treasures to create a lovely embellished fabric heart. I strive to create videos that are easy to follow and that are quite doable. Once you see how easy the basic concept is, the sky is the limit as to all the beautiful jewelry pieces you will be able to make. Whether you want a one-of-a-kind piece for your own unique wardrobe or sell your items (like I did for many years) I'm sure you will find great value in this tutorial and hopefully inspiration, as well!

I love this. I made something similar for my friend for Christmas....it is for decoration, to hang. My first layer was bits of scraps I sew together in a larger piece, I then layered it with my wedding veil...an antique over 130 years old. The straight metal pins u use for charms are actually called head pins ( lol I teach jewelry making) u are teaching me sewing hearts but I do not have a machine ..I'll have to sew it by hand ..thanks for the ladder stitch, too ..❤ I'm 73 and enjoy learning how to make many of your beautiful designs..can u make more sewing a little by hand and using the hot glue FOR material ..thanks so much , my friends and i love these beautiful things u make , too
